Very possible. But I don't think this case is as simple as Dolan being persistent for paying for sex. And this lady finally submitting and accepting the money.

Once you add Weinstein, this case is definitely worth an investigation, imho. Even if you take the money/transactional aspect out of it, Dolan potentially physically forced himself on another woman.

I have no real knowledge in law tbh. So maybe somebody like HawthroneWingo can shed some light. I always thought it's still against the law to pay for sexual favors or promise/give promotions in exchange.

This Is my point though. She feels obligated ten years later to make an unsubstantiated claim of this behavior but, when it happens she said and do nothing and CONTINUED to work for him after?

I can totally believe her for one thing but, I can't see her having a shred of evidence to prove any of it ten years later. Furthermore, her actions at the time it happened make little to no sense unless, she truly needed the money she was paid for the gig that turned sour. Which brings into question the validity of her claims and the ability to prove them. Add in the fact that this lawyer has other clients/cases against Dolan and it reeks of BS. EVEN IF IT'S TRUE.

Jimmy is a media & sporting mogul, he's not just another musician, he could've made credible threats to not just have her fired, but to make sure that she never worked with any performers or athletes in the region...whether he ever intended to follow through on those threats or not.

Not saying that's what happened since we don't yet know, but just from knowing some people who have been in similar situations, that was my gut reaction reading of that line.

I'm going to try to refrain from making assumptions. But I don't think the gap is that uncommon when you account for mental damages and fear. It's pretty common for people to speak out about sexual assault years after it happened.

Maybe she wasn't in a position to go through with a lawsuit? Maybe she was scared trying do do a David versus Goliath. We are talking about massage therapist versus a multibillionare media mongol.

I'm with you on waiting before we condemn him for this...though Jimmy has given people plenty of reasons to suspect he's a POS even if this isn't true.

Just saying that it taking a victim 10 years to prepare themselves to face all of the bull that they will face even if they are 100% accurate and also have undeniable evidence, isn't evidence of anything.
