No thanks to Clemens, but if we signed Pettite to a one year deal that would be awesome. He was arguably the Yankees best pitcher the 2nd half of the season and looked good in the playoffs.

Halladay
Pettite
Burnett
McGowan
Marcum

^^ That would be the best rotation in the majors.

I love how he goes into NO DETAIL in his article besides "my sources tell me..."

It will never happen.

LOL I trust the gibberish that homeless people mumble out when I'm downtown, more than I trust what I read in the Metro. Free "newspaper" with grade D writers...riiiight, we believe you guys

Am I the only one who thinks Pettitte is actually a good idea for a 1 year contract? We desperately need a lefty in the rotation.

I agree.

from watching him alot last year he has alot left in the tank and would be a great leader to bring into the clubhouse.

Nobody is saying they wouldn't be good additions to the rotation. Pettitte especially. But there is no chance in hell it ever happens. In both cases, it is 99% between New York, Houston, or retirement, and we aren't in the remaining 1%.
