Why can't he ever get the better of Al Horford in the playoffs so he can meet Jokic in the Finals? Whenever the phantom whistle stops coming to the rescue, he becomes JAG (just another guy). You're guaranteed to see his PPG drop to sub-25, his FG% to be around 45%, etc. Meanwhile Jokic drops 30/14/10 through an entire playoff run on guys like AD and Bam.

Then again, tonight's game is Embiid's championship game. He's 100% going to miss the game in Denver and of course he's 100% going to shrink in the playoffs.

Philly wanted to stop Jokic, they simply could not. Their strategy was not to be down 15 at the break.

Tucker changed it all.

Article on how Tucker won Philly that game:

Sure whatever helps you sleep at night.
On the other hand, when in the previous season Nuggets won in Sixers court, and the main difference was the HUGE difference in bench scoring, many people said Jokic destroyed Embiid. So yeah, people will have their narrative set in stone regardless.

Truth hurts.

Denver was waxing Philly and they were fine with Embiid dominating the ball. They were up big.

Without the Tucker move Denver probably wins by 25 and Embiid's points mean nothing.

Because of Tucker, we got the fake "Embiid did so great" spin when the truth was Tucker saved Embiid.

Last year Embiid got a lot of gifts. The Tucker gift was just one.

But things got straightened out in the postseason.

Lol I never heard something so idiotic on this page. Embiid had 47 and 18 to Jokic who had 23 and 9. And you think the Sixers would have lost by 25 if Embiid was guarding Jokic? That’s just ridiculous. Embiid literally doubled Jokic’s production across the board.

Embiid absolutely annihilated Jokic last season and it wasn’t even close. Even tonight he’s playing better than Jokic.

Not to mention he’s 5-2 vs Jokic head to head with better numbers when they play each other. Stop being ridiculous.

As good as Jokic has played Embiid is just on a different level right now. He’s absolutely putting on a clinic vs Jokic tonight for the 2nd straight season.

Doesn't matter. Rings don't lie, nor does being the only MVP in league history to never make a Conference FInal.

Like Harden, Embiid is a regular-season performer who lives off the whistle. When he can't get the same calls in the postseason, he crumbles.

Just another coddled fraud until he proves otherwise.

I only turned on this game with 6 minutes left in the 4Q. When did Denver put Gordon on Embiid?
Thank you Nico!

Vs. Jokic?

Are you watching the game?

They haven't guarded each other for 90% of the game.

Embiid gave Jokic 8 points...

Tell me you're not watching the game without telling me you're not watching the game...

In fact, Jokic has scored more points guarded 1:1 on Embiid than Embiid has on Jokic...

But don't let facts get in the way of a narrative...

Jeez. Nurse was scared like Doc was.

More fake narratives to come.

Again, all that matters is the postseason.

I remember Jordan being called a stat padder until he won a ring.

Much to prove for Embiid. Nothing to prove for Jokic.

That's the difference. Last year told the tale, all around.

Jokic can’t guard Embiid actually nobody on the nuggets can guard Embiid. Embiid has been better than Jokic this entire game.

That's his current legacy, except Harden made a Finals and Embiid still hasn't made a Conference Finals despite being a #1 seed in a playoff run.

That's what we call a "failure" and "underachiever" for someone with his talent level.

Single regular season nights change nothing. Particularly for guys who care more about the regular season competing against guys who care more about the postseason.
