front office isn't serious about this season leaving centre rotation out to dry - 16 mins thad young from bench or him starting is not serious (we are back to the days of casey slotting talents like landry fields/james johnson right into starting lineup when a guy goes down)

they are trying to drain blood from a stone to siakam trade deadline for value and its burning another year of rookie contracts for the next gen thereby self-imposing a limit on their window and value contracts in mid-term/long-term

the question is can the upswing of full scottie takover post siakam trade still get us into a play-in spot? with the play-in now, young guys get a taste of the post season drama and intensity, the draft pick conveying this or next year to spurs cant be a tactical input for decision making, sunk cost
