My bad, I thought for some reason the game was played in Denver, got it wrong. I fully expect Embiid will skip the altitude game again. Gotta say putting both Nuggets games in the second game of a back to back is a baffling decision though.

If the Celtics weren't so damn good, I'd be predicting DEN-PHI matchup...

As a long time 76ers fan I would love to see the 76ers and Denver in the finals. But you are correct sir. Boston is playing basketball on a totally different level. The only team that can stop Boston from winning it all seems like the Boston Celtics at this point in the season.

I am even more shocked (pleasantly):

SEE YOU IN TWO WEEKS.

Wow. Respect gained. He's going to show up in Denver.

This is why I don't get the hate for Embiid. He may be a troll but hes a nice humble guy. He's just misunderstood.

lol cmn, lets not make it like he was doing that before.

I’m not a two-time MVP, I’ve never made first team All-NBA, I’ve never won anything. So
why is there pressure on me to do something when there are guys that have won two MVPs, a bunch of MVPs and haven’t done anything either?" - Embiid.

Perhaps Embiid has grown since that statement. Perhaps when he made that statement he was in his feelings. Perhaps looking back on that statement he now realizes he was wrong. I mean once upon a time I kept a journal. And when I look back at some of the thoughts and ideas I had back then, I think to myself wow how wrong was I. Embiid is allowed to have those moments too. We all are except Michael Jordan who gets it right the first time each time. :D

Me personally, I am far from an Embiid hater like others here. I think his skillset is crazy for his height and I also think the Sixers can go further than in years before.

It may not be exactly what I said, but when Hussein and I aren't on here, they talk about everyone else, and the only stuff they say about Embiid is trash. Literally, and you know that too man.

Apart from a few people, without us, this would be the anti-Embiid thread, hell you know the GB is that too.

Ok, agree with a lot of things about what you said.
I think what is problematic is that some users take it too far. Take the user "Chokic" for example. The name itself is just silly and the opposite of what Jokic is and does also take the hate against a player too far.

I think we all should be just as fair as possible when it comes to evaluating players.
Me, a Jokic fan can say that Embiid outplayed him today. It is that easy.

Yup, just like during the playoffs, when I said that Jokic was the best player in the world. I like both players, and hate the toxicity, and the really stupid narratives that are spewed on here and on social media.

I've actually seen you praising Jokic, so kudos to you.
Let's just hope, that these teams do not meet in the finals, haha.

Can you imagine how crazy the board would go?

Would be insane, but I also think it needs to happen, for this stuff to die down once and for all. They need to go at each other for 7 games. Time to exorcise some demons lol.

I also think the board would crash lmao.

I thought it would settle down after nuggets won it all last season but it didnt change a bit. Same would be after those finals. People have short memory.

I only want a Finals between these guys because we haven’t had a Finals between two superstar Centers since Shaq and Hakeem. We’re approaching 30 years since they faced off.

1. Embiid
2. Jokic
3. Shai
4. Giannis

Interestingly, while Embiid clearly has the heavy lead, it's still a toss up because of the 65 game rule.

So long as Embiid stays healthy and doesn't miss more than 7 games, he should be the comfortable winner here, but I expect Jokic and Shai to be in the running.

Luka's fallen off. He's playing well, but it's hard to imagine him catching up.

He actually said -

“You jokic are the best player on earth and the real MVP by valuing winning a ring over winning the MVP in the regular season… also did you notice that Hardaway and Kyrie are getting the same numbers as Luka without Luka the same way Brunson and Dinwiddie beat Utah twice without Luka?!… it’s crazy… it’s like Kidd says “get the ball to the guards let them shoot all the shots and yall get the rebounds” and it leads to gaudy numbers no matter who the guards are and doesn’t help develop Luka- man they should fire Kidd… oh and if I was gonna stack rank it’s You, then Giannis, then me, then Who cares between Luka and SGA - and Cobracommanders the second best poster on RealGM….at worse top 3!”

I think that’s what I heard …

I want them in 7 games to settle this once and for all-

The game was tied when Embiid and jokic came back in the 4th quarter— and Embiid went off and won the game- objectively - all things were equal apart from who’s gym they were in and Embiid out played The best player on earth- you gotta respect that Embiid came out and stood up to the challenge and that Jokic played hard as well-

It was a great honor to watch that - it’s like the opposite of what Booker did when he plays Luka. Then after the game he gave respect to the competitor KNOWING that winning a finals MVP trumps a MVP… especially if you already got two of them!

Embiid said and did the right things- respect that -

Also Philly looks better without harden-

And Denver STILL Will represent the west in the finals - will Embiid do this in the playoffs when it matters and meet big Joke- reining champion - in the finals or will he fail to keep his end of the bargain

The Harden trade was definitely good for Philly. The depth they got back was something that they've lacked for a long time. But I think Nick Nurse is a bigger reason Philly looks better. Doc Rivers was just a bad, bad coach.
