Terry wants Miami. There you have it, a player at your biggest position of need who is great at another need (3 level scoring at 24 PPG) and playmaking. Drop every other PG idea and focus on getting this one done unless Murray flat out says he wants Miami, which isn’t going to happen.

I agree. It’s feasible for us to get this done. Wants Miami, no Klutch ties, and Mitch Kupchak knows Riley very well. Lets make something happen here cause Scary Terry would be a massive improvement in the backcourt.

I could see Martin and Lowry going in a Rozier trade. Sounds like new ownership wants to get Rozier’s contract off the books.

This is wishful thinking but Rozier and PJW or bridges would be an ELITE trade for us, don’t know how we swing it and I haven’t checked the numbers on it.

Maybe even Cody to make Caleb happy and maybe entice him to stay for cheap?

They have Ish Smith too I believe, I would like to get him just for leadership purposes and 3rd string PG depth.

I’ve always had a feeling we would get Scary Terry in a Heat jersey one day, I remember talking to him on Twitter way back because he’s a huge Wade stan. Wade Stan’s are always good in my books and it’s cool to have players on the team now who worship the ground he walks on like Bam and Jimmy

I don’t think we’ll be able to swing Cody cause we’d be cutting it tight with Rozier’s money next year. It’s more likely we trade Martin back to the Hornets cause we won’t be able to sign him due to Rozier’s number next year. Barry mentioned we can take on Rozier but leaves no money for an MLE next year which would have gone to Martin. Ish Smith and his expiring 100 percent

Any player like Rozier, the Heat would want an unofficial new contract agree upon.

Looking at the numbers there’s quite a few options it seems.

Lowry Jovic and a 1st for Rozier and Bridges saves them Terrys long term money next year and saves us a little this year. Maybe frees up a little for a buyout guy?

Depending on the Hornets goals Lowry Caleb Bryant and a 1st for Terry and PJW frees up $40M for the Hornets but maybe PJW just isn’t doable for us because of his long term money. Bridges and Smith are easily attainable contract wise for us so maybe that’s the route we go

Not necessary, he’s under contract for 2 more seasons after this one

I don’t see us going anywhere near Bridges. I think a simple Lowry and a couple of picks for Rozier and Smith would suffice.

Hornets need to reroute Lowry to the Raptors for Gary Trent and fillers

Highly doubt he would be in the trade. It would likely be centered around Duncan. The Heat have had multiple years talking to Hornets about Rozier. Not sure what would change.

Heat not bringing that on right now. Hornets also not giving him away either. No way we should be trading Jovic for him. They can keep him. Let’s stay locked in on Rozier

Why would they take Duncan when he essentially makes a few million less and has an extra year on deal? I think new ownership wants the money off the sheet with picks.

The hornets are gonna be below the salary floor this summer with Rozier.

Return to Miami Heat
