Highly doubt he would be in the trade. It would likely be centered around Duncan. The Heat have had multiple years talking to Hornets about Rozier. Not sure what would change.

Why would they take Duncan when he essentially makes a few million less and has an extra year on deal. I think new ownership wants the money off the sheet with picks.

The hornets are gonna be below the salary floor this summer with Rozier.

Only until they pay or S&T Bridges.

Likely would need to involve 3 teams. Heat have talked Hornets plenty of times regarding Rozier and couldn't come to an agreement. My sense is the Hornets have been shopping Rozier and his agent caught the wind of it and trying to find a place Rozier wants to go.

Don't think Bridges wants to be there and Bridges will not bring much of a return. Hornets gonna have hard time attacking free agents. They need to build their roster via trade. Likely wants to take on salary and picks

In this case not necessarily. Lowry and picks for Rozier, Smith or Ntilikina gets this done. Hornets could just buyout Lowry

Yeah, and I think that's exactly why they resign Bridges--they just can't let an asset like him leave for nothing, even with all the legal troubles. They need to maximize Gordon Hayward's expiring contract to bring back something good, and they need to resign Bridges (whether as a part of their core or tradable asset).

Whatever the plan is for the Hornets the Heat have been trying to get Rozier and now Rozier agent trying to make it happen. I think it takes 3 teams

Terry wants Miami. There you have it, a player at your biggest position of need who is great at another need (3 level scoring at 24 PPG) and playmaking. Drop every other PG idea and focus on getting this one done unless Murray flat out says he wants Miami, which isn’t going to happen.

I agree. It’s feasible for us to get this done. Wants Miami, no Klutch ties, and Mitch Kupchak knows Riley very well. Lets make something happen here cause Scary Terry would be a massive improvement in the backcourt.

This is wishful thinking but Rozier and PJW or bridges would be an ELITE trade for us, don’t know how we swing it and I haven’t checked the numbers on it.

Maybe even Cody to make Caleb happy and maybe entice him to stay for cheap?

They have Ish Smith too I believe, I would like to get him just for leadership purposes and 3rd string PG depth.

Rozier has been my top choice (after Dame) since the offseason.

There’s a dog quality to his game not unlike that of Crowder or PJ when they were here that I think Mia could use particularly come playoff time.

Duncan and Martin for Rozier would be the only trade match salary wise and for us that would gut our wing spot. I don’t see a deal involving either of them. This is strickly a Lowry and picks deal with the possibility of Lowry getting shipped to the Raptors for feel good purposes.

Hopefully they get it done, gotta do something. Too much dead weight on this roster. You and I have been mentioning our weak guard play compared to other elite teams for years now

FWIW it’s already been reported both Bridges and the Hornets plan to part ways this summer.

It’s probably best to deal him to a destination that has the resources to sign him then. He’s also a Klutch client on top of it all. Hard pass

Raptors are definitely shopping Schroder after picking up Kira Lewis.

Pacers got a big front court. Nice that we moved Jovic to the starting lineup instead of rolling with the 6’5 Martin

Barry is saying we need to drop 11 million in order to be eligible for buyout options.

Well that's interesting. The only contenders that can currently sign buy-out options are Minnesota and OKC (I don't consider NYK and IND to be contenders yet). I suppose Philly can get there if they really try to shed one of their smaller contracts but they're unlikely as well.

That makes me more comfortable trading Lowry away.
