If he’s there at our pick that’s whom I’m selecting. He’d be fantastic, as a second rounder especially.

Change my mind.

A contending team will take him late in the 1st to get LeBron to come for a year.

I think that will be market-dependent. I think it's more likely a team drafts Bronny, and then extorts the franchise where LeBron wants to sign for Bronny's draft rights in a trade.

Sure why not I would be ok with that but wolves need to win it all this season to show they didn’t need Lebron.

Win this year fine. If we don't win this year and win with LeBron next year fine. :D

He is rising. Tankathon moved him up from 38 to 37. We still get two shots at him.

I am all in on the Kylan Boswell and Tristan Del Silva with our two picks. The only problem is shooting is a skill that will move both these guy up the draft.

BTW watching that highlight don't you get a slow mo feel with Tristan Del Silva's game. Not the same but has a lot of the same skill set as Slow Mo when he was in college.

Jared McCain would also be on my list.

I’ve grown curious over how the team approaches guards this draft. They’ve basically already got two waiting (Clark+Spagnolo). They also have Nix as an RFA although I can’t imagine they’re too invested in him.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I also think it's important to keep these younger, cheaper guys in mind when talking about filling in the back end of the roster. Just because we have potential free agents in Kyle and Mike, doesn't mean we will replace them with the $30 million in contracts that they currently make combined.

I know we as fans want to see these guys now, but the front office and coaching staff know what they have in them. Collecting DNP-CDs is not an indictment on how they feel about their ability to be a rotation player even as soon as next season.

Peyton Watson barely played for Denver as a rookie. But this year, after winning a title, a cap crunch forced them to push a younger Watson into the rotation because gus like Bruce Brown became too expensive to keep.

I don't want to be picking at 29. I want 30. Or has some team forfeited their pick? Tankathon has us taking Boswell at 28 Knecht at 37. Da Silva going 33 and Bronny going 44.

Jamal Shead is a sleeper I'm keeping an eye out.

Bit of an undersized PG (listed at 6-1, likely closer to McLaughlin) but currently has a STL% > 3, BLK% > 3.5 and DBPM > 5. Basically, an insane defender. And while his shooting is a little funky %wise he's also sporting a 40AST% and a 17TOV% so he's a good PG.

If you've got time watch this vid and tell me Finch wouldn't love him.

He's got insane effort and IQ on the defensive end. Probably won't get drafted due to his size so a good potential to pickup a potential contributor without much investment.

Maybe we pick this year Malik Beasley.

Wooga Poplar. This guy can flat out score and shoot. He has been lights out for 3 so far this 49%, however he will be an older prospect by the time of the draft 22yrs old and he was a no show for 3 of the 5 Tourney games last year. played well in the elite 8 vs Texas but UCONN shut him down (the shut down the whole team).

Not sure if these guy will come out if he is a 2nd rnd pick. Alex Karaban is another lights out shooter. He doesn't bring much else for 40% from deep would be deadly.

Guys, what pick will we have and what number?

That's determined by the final regular season standings.

Currently, because we have the second-best record in the NBA, we would have pick 29 of the first round.

The second round is a little messier. We don't own our 2nd, that was sent out in the 2020 Rubio trade. However, we will have a 2nd from either Memphis or Washington, whichever team finishes with a better record. We got this in the Conley trade. Currently, this is pick 36.

TL;DR: Right now, we have 29 and 36, but that can fluctuate based on the final regular season standings.

There's something about Poplar that feels off to me. I'm not sure what it is though. Maybe his lack of on ball creation?
