Yes they did , they got 3 FRP and solid 6 th man in Brown or they can flip him for more picks for a guy they didn’t wanted to max
Siakam will age terrible I think , He will be in China soon anyways

Our 2 first round selections can't get playing time so there would be no way we would pick two more rookies and give them playing time. The 26 pick hurts a little bit but I think we can live with that. The only thing that really hurts is the departure of Brucy, but it is what it is. Of course this all changes when Pascal leaves us in the offseason. That makes it from great to horrible, but I guess we have to take these kind of risks with a guy like Hali on the team. You accumulate assets and capspace for scenarios like this. Pritchard set this up pretty great imo. And I really don't see a comparable guy that is available for our picks and some assets..

It is weird that they did it now rather than wait for the trade deadline to see if the offer got better, but maybe they wanted to start the tank early to keep their pick.
but it's not just a rental, we all know this. I'm assuming he resigns with the Pacers at the 4 year max. I'm not saying there wasn't risk, just that the risk wasn't all that high.
2 of the 3 picks we know will be in the 20s (currently 17 and 27)

You mean like Pascal Siakam, who was picked at 27?
I think Indy overpaid by at least 1 draft pick given the flight risk of Siakam, but what percentage of guys drafted in the 20-30 range turn into all-stars?

Yeah that's just a ridiculous opinion.

His name is Bruce Brown ( BB gun ) recent Champion , best Fourth player on a Championship team
You don’t trade for Siakam and give away this kind of player , Pacers just removed themselves from the contention by simply doing that
Toronto won this trade , they traded unwanted piece
