Nice player but that's a guy that was intentionally overpaid by IND to get to the floor. He's got another year at $20m but a team option. He's not that guy...it's very similar to the year we overpaid Jeff Green just to get to the salary floor. Brown got that deal with the understanding that he'd likely be moved as nice high non-guaranteed filler. There was certainly no bidding war at that price. Unless TOR is fine with just stabilizing for a year (rather than stepping on the gas this summer with more win-now moves) he'll likely not be re-upped.

I wonder if Orlando does something like Markelle Fultz and two 2nd rd picks for Buddy Hield? Given that both salaries match up and both are expiring contracts? Then, Wendell Carter Jr. straight up for Tyus Jones? Again, both salaries match.

Not sure why IND would do that...especially that they just doubled down on this season. Maybe if they could recoup some firsts since they emptied their clip for Siakim, but I imagine they just roll with Hield, maybe even re-sign him if the chemistry is there with Siakim...on the other hand, maybe Hield has unrealistic expectations about his next deal and IND gets something now.

I like Olynyk...how about Kris Dunn for backup starter in the same deal? He's apparently been great for UTA...Zach Lowe called him the best guard defender in the world

both expiring, both solid heady vets...would Fultz and DEN 25 frp get it done? would srps do it-I don't think so

If the Hawks REALLY want to clean up their books...

Murray and Hunter for Fultz, Harris, Jett, 2024 Magic 1st and 2026 Magic 1st

They essentially get three 1sts and shed $40M for next season.

Could also insert Capela in for Hunter which would give the Magic the ability to flip Capela or Carter in a separate deal.
