Mitchell came out like this was gonna be a duel between him and Dame didn't get the memo.
We ran on them all night and they just let us.
Great effort on defense all night.

Looks like Niang went off tonight, 13 of 14 from the field and 5 of 6 from deep.

Niang was amazing. All the junk he's been throwing at the rim in previous games was going in. He looked every bit the dynamic scorer everyone told us he was back in college and high school. Will we see this guy again?
Donovan had a pretty special game too, and thanks to being willing to play CPJ tonight (Caris played but didn't look right) the second unit blew the game back open after the Bucks made a run and then held it.
Not sure what's up with the Bucks. On paper with our respective injuries it looked like a much closer matchup of similar older players .vs. younger ones, but they didn't play with much heart or energy and were content to fire up and miss a whole lot of 3's.
Hubey Brown couldn't stop talking about our fast pace, fast break transition scoring, our defense, our balanced scoring, ball movement, etc, etc. Very fun game on national TV for a change.

Caris didn't look right because he has a tweaked wrist. He missed shootaround, had his wrist wrapped, and was questionable a few hours before gametime. This is honestly the most likely reason we gave up a run when some of the second unit came in. (And why Niang was 13/14 and was just a +0 on the night when we won by 40.)
Bucks fans think it's their coach, and they've got more of a case than Cavs fans do against JBB. Giannis has thrown him under the bus a time or two already this season. Still, Lillard's gotta step up when Giannis is out, and he couldn't beat Okoro last night.

I guess you have to click in if you want to see the video, but something to think about when pondering Isaac's future as we approach the deadline:
Dame spent a lot of game complaining to the refs.

Even if this recent offensive explosion is a blip, JBB has been a solid defensive coach ... apparently some were taking that for granted in Milwaukee regarding Mike Budenholzer.

Well, Milwaukee also traded Jrue and let their other pesky defensive guard whose name escapes me leave in free agency. Their defensively strong personnel is now mostly Lopez and Giannis, and when they're missing Giannis...

They lost Jrue, Grayson Allen, and Jevon Carter ... big hits to their perimeter D for sure and it doesn't help that Brook Lopez is 35 going on 36, but a good defensive coach will often still find ways to make things work.
For instance, the Bucks had the #1 defense even before adding Jrue. For two season in fact. Before that, they were 19th ranked under Kidd and Prunty.

Was a Niang career high.
