But there's some more smoke that Shadow of the Erdtree is going to drop in the next month. It's about all I'm looking forward to in gaming this year, so that would be pretty swell if it does.

Really? It's not as unrelenting as 2023, but there's quite a bit I'm excited for this year. Especially on the RPG front. FF7R2, Unicorn Overlord, Dragon's Dogma 2, Hundred Heroes, Avowed. Got my eyes on Hades 2 and Black Myth Wukong, too.

Ahh yea, Hades 2 is high on the list. I was gonna say Crimson Desert too but I guess that one won't be out until the middle of 2025.

I see this comes out in Feb too. I loved AC: Black Flag a ton and I always figured that if you wanted to make a killer pirate game you could just remove the assassin stuff build on what made AC:BF amazing. But I read some demo impressions and it sounds like Ubisoft really screwed this up.

Idk this year seems pretty loaded to me. Persona 3 reload is going to be my February game. FFXIV new expansion in Summer. Plus all the stuff already mentioned. Think POE2 is this year too isnt it

EA will probably still find a way to **** it up, but yeah, I might actually buy a football game for the first time in ages.

Just gotta pray the Dynasty mode isn't totally broken. Madden gameplay with a mostly working Dynasty Mode is such an easy purchase decision.

The template is there. Just do what they did in '14 and give me the Madden gameplay. If they can find a way to integrate collectives and NIL, that'd rule. Make the draft classes exportable and I'll even buy Madden.

Anybody else seen gameplay for Palworld? It's like a survival Pokémon game. It drops on gamepass this week

Considering all the 40+ yr olds who will buy NCAA for nostalgia purposes they should have a dumbed down version of controls as an option.

They'll probably set up NIL so you actually have to pay real money out of your own pocket.

So I've been playing NCAA 14 on PC for a while now. Wasn't playing much recently, but decided to start a Dynasty with Georgia State and name the coach after my college roommate. I turned up difficulty and added sliders, and I'm trying to build them up. I write a little synopsis after each game and send to my college friends and they're super invested now and makes me obsessed with playing. Recruited some freshman and named them after more of my roommates, and now its a regular thing where I send the update on each game and there is commentary. This is what video games are for. Its been so fun.

I'm actually considering starting a YouTube channel and IG account to do some videos on.

Madden has had the franchise mode template since 2004 but somehow ****s it up every year. I’m hopeful, but have zero confidence in the new college football game.

Man this talk is bringing me back to the summer after I graduated college. Was living with two buddies and the three of us got obsessed with dynasty mode. We all worked weird schedules so the game was on at all hours of the day as we grinded through many many seasons. We'd get to a point where we felt like we needed to go out but we'd find ourselves at a bar talking about our recruiting classes or an upcoming head to head matchup and we'd end up got home and playing. It was an obsession that only ended because I moved away.

Besides the game itself, my favorite thing about NCAA was listening to Van Pelt when he was on the radio talk about how he'd turn Maryland "into a powerhouse the likes of which the world has never seen". Became a fan of his then. He's one of us!

Is that why people were making Indiana Jones title jokes recently?

Probably only if you heard the jokes today because I think they revealed the title this afternoon.
