I thought that was the turning point of the game.

Still some growing pains 9 games after the trade, they’ll find him more and improve with time

OG more boring than RJ

Damn. Have to do this again!
Buttah304 wrote:Was at the game tonight. Couple of things worth noting:
(1) Grimes was missing everything in pre game warmup so I was worried it would carry over
(2) Josh Hart fools around a lot prior to tip-off. He legit bricked 2 corner threes and then started to bounce the ball on his foot like he was playing soccer for about 3 minutes (he also might have the 3PT yips but that’s for another day)
(3) Julius Randle and Tony Brothers looked like best friends that have known each other for 40 years. Dapping eachother up, laughing outrageously and hugging like long lost brothers. Interesting dynamic between a player and referee I’ve never seen anything like it before.
(4) Dillon Brooks is a media diva. He did that thing where he stares by the Knicks pre game warmup solely looking for as many MSG cameras as he could find. Guy should be on the real basketball housewives or something.
(5) I thought Ime Udoka was gonna straight up fight Sengun. He was disgusted by his play defensively and in the 3rd got in his face on multiple occasions. Then he took a TO just to rip him some more. Very Intense. Not a fun plane ride home.
(6) I realize the counting stats FVV has on the year but he is incredibly bland in person. He often dribbles around going absolutely nowhere. His game just feels empty.
(7) Don’t hate me but McBride did not look like an NBA caliber guard. His on court demeanor was like a guy we signed with a 2 way contract
(8) OGs defense. It’s actually absurd to see what he looks like in person. I almost want to track his miles or his movements laterally somehow. He’s the master of stunt and recover - 50% of the time it looks like 3 players are his sole responsibility. He’s the only guy who was sprinting back on defense. And here’s what I thought was interesting. In the NBA you can see how a team might fear an offensive player. But you could tell that because OG was blowing up plays with his lateral movement guys are hesitant to even bother trying anything on him. He plays this free safety role it’s incredible to witness.
(9) Thibs and minutes. This was the scariest thing about the game. It felt like Anunoby NEVER sat. It’s one thing to watch it on TV (you have a commercial break and get up and walk around the house etc). But watching it up close - his power button was never turned off. Not only did he play 44min - he’s standing up during timeouts - talking to the coaches - listening intently getting instructions. I was worried about Thibs breaking Jalen but I got it entirely wrong. It’s OG he’s gonna destroy. But it’s 9 games in and we’re the #1 defensive rated team in the league so Tom is gonna use him every second.

We would've won the Magic game if we had just hit our damn free throws. That was pathetic.
