I don't think it would have to be this much.

Cole is strictly a backup.

Suggs is now a SG.

Black *may* be the future at the position, but he's a teenager and needs a lot of seasoning.

Would Tyus Jones fit your needs? He's expiring but you'd have his bird rights. Washington probably looking to cash him in for picks.

He would.

However, with him being expiring, the Magic could just sign him outright this summer with their cap space.

So I think that will lower the caliber of offers the Magic would put forward for him.

The Magic have nothing to lose by acquiring a more balanced PG in Tyus for the time being. Granted his contract will expired in the offseason just like Fultz. At least with Tyus, he brings that balance to the PG position that the Magic are lacking right now. So that's a synergy that he brings to the team if he's acquired by the deadline. Plus, the Magic are still developing AB, so he needs time to better his game. I think now will be a good time to make the move. Especially with the Magic on the uptick in-spite of the injury bugs right now.

The sticking point here for me is Jett.

Fultz, Harris, Okeke and the Denver first is a pretty fair deal all things considered.

Just for reference point, 2023 draft, 26th pick was sold for cash. That's all you need to know about value.

Thus is what people forget. These picks, especially to us with more kids than a nursery, are worth very little really. Wenshould be spraying them around for players.

yes, i think we can sell it for more value in a trade "adding a 1st" than it's value by itself

Goga has a low contract and is expiring. A young player & a pick should be easy for a team with title asperations, pick would be near the back and less valued.
Unless we get a deal worked out with him, it would seem he'd be on the block. Had to lose him without getting anything back (as opposed to just letting Fultz walk).

i dont think Goga is on too many people's radar, his play hasnt been that great. and he will be due a new contract

I think he's shown he can be a very capable backup and that's a step up for him as he was basically on his way out of the league

I have similar opinion. I wonder why we dont play Jett.
1. We want to increase his conditioning in the gleague.
2. He is not good enough right now.
3. We want to increase his trade value.
If its the 3rd i can see that deal happening. Still i dont know if Lavine market is 2 firsts. It seems that trust between player and coach/front office is broken.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

He makes $2M.
His play has been good enough to be the questionable starter here.
For a team that needs a backup C to battle in the Playoffs, you probably can't get a better deal.
No long term Cap implications. You can buy a late 1st for $3M, no reason he couldn't bring in 1.

Id bet my life he can’t get us a 1st.

Only reason WCJ is being talked about in a trade is to see if we get a fleece offer. Goga can finish the year (doesn’t hurt us) and we use cap space on a starting C in FA.

He’s at least getting run and able to learn while AB is getting DNPs, which hopefully changes after deadline.

I missed it. Stylistically he's everything I hoped for though.

What needs of ours does he meet? Where does he sit in the rotation?

One more "nice" player on a roster full of them, he'd be our highest paid guy too :noway:

He's Caruso's brother from another mother. Great add for a contender fleshing out their lineup...we need a building block.

If we do trade for Lavine I worry about the second apron when extending Franz and Paolo. With the new CBA you can't have 3 guys making 40+. You can have 2 40+ guys and 1 guy around 20-25million. All 3 guys will have to be productive. If Zach is making 45+ million and Paolo is making 40+ where does that leave Franz?
