LaVine is off the books before Paolo is making 40+ though.
When can we extend Paolo? Then what about Franz and Suggs? They would be the same year. That's my issue with the Lavine thing. I dont want to do anything that harms our ability to resign our core guys. Lavines contract is just breathtaking.

Paolo can agree to an extension after next season, but it won't kick in until year 5, which would be the last year of LaVine's deal if he picks up his option.

I think Lavine is something to consider in that case. He gives us exactly what we need. I would offer pretty much nothing to the Bulls though. Fultz, Harris and Chuma expiring deals is about all I'd offer. I wouldn't even give them the Denver first. In fact they should send us a pick. All the risk is on us.

Goga has a low contract and is expiring. A young player & a pick should be easy for a team with title asperations, pick would be near the back and less valued.
Unless we get a deal worked out with him, it would seem he'd be on the block. Had to lose him without getting anything back (as opposed to just letting Fultz walk).

i dont think Goga is on too many people's radar, his play hasnt been that great. and he will be due a new contract

I think he's shown he can be a very capable backup and that's a step up for him as he was basically on his way out of the league

capable backups generally arent on too many radars

What needs of ours does he meet? Where does he sit in the rotation?

One more "nice" player on a roster full of them, he'd be our highest paid guy too :noway:

He's Caruso's brother from another mother. Great add for a contender fleshing out their lineup...we need a building block.

this. He is our Suggs. 6'4 primarily known as a defender and below average 3 pt shooter. Suggs has shown he can play SG, we need a solid PG now

Was agreeing and think someone will overpay in FA for him.

He replaces Fultz/Black as the veteran connector/defender/playmaker who can actually shoot the 3 and space out the floor for the second unit whilst also being able to fit perfectly next to Franz and Paolo in any lineup.

He'd be the hybrid 6th man with Cole who can legit play 4-5 positions on the court. That would be a HUGE get.

he is a career 34% 3 pt shooter (not good). and at 6'4 he CANNOT play 4-5 positions. he could play 1-2 and smaller 3's.

This means we aren't getting him.

The Bucks have literally nothing to offer.

They already owe all their 1st round picks, either outright or in swaps, through 2030.

And they aren't exactly loaded with desirable young talent either.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

A Lavine trade would probably be my worst case scenario. I’m surprised anyone would be on board with it.

He has every red flag you don’t want in a guy that turns 30 next season and is locked into a monster deal.

- lowest PPG, FG%, 3PT%, APG since the 2017 season
- Injury prone
- The bulls have a winning record without him this season
- 10 season in the NBA.. has only played in the playoffs once
- No commitment to defense, questionable BBIQ

AAV of 43 mill until 2027..

This is the kind of desperate last ditch attempt move the LeLakers need to make.. not the magic

We can make a better offer pretty easily with out giving up core players.

If we do make a deal, I'm sure it'll be out of left field for a player/players under the media radar. Just my thoughts.

Same story as Caruso. Solid player, had some big clutch moments that put him on the radar, but has been in the league a long time and rarely averaged more than 10+ pts. Low volume 3pt shooter...I'd roll with AB before I give him TWENTY mil. Like Caruso - the concept of him is better than the actual reality. He's a finishing touch, not a guy that takes a team to another level...TWENTY MIL gets in to the Claxton sweepstakes...I'm totally ready to throw money around but it's only for real impact.

ATL doesn't give a @#%* who gets him...just a matter of having the balls to pay. Hate these contenders swooping in with crappy picks a mile down the road while we sit on ours.

No one here can answer the most important question huh?

Has the face of our franchise forgiven Murray already? We really can't trade for a guy that our main guy still has beef with.
