We are going to have to settle for a vet dirt cheap backup 4 and stick with Jovic. We can’t afford a 4 and Duncan’s made himself untouchable. Just focus on getting a PG with 2 1st and Lowry and swaps and second round pick.

It’s not a popular opinion but I’m fine with Caleb and Highsmith and I guess Jovic at the 4. We haven’t lost because we’re too little, we lost because we lacked another 3 level scorer on the roster. Hawks don’t need Niko anyway. They’re better off recouping the picks they gave up to get Murray and getting his salary off the books. Even if we do 2027 swap 2028 and 2030 picks for Murray and Mills the Hawks only end up losing one pick from original deal. It’s a win win all around cause we keep Jovic developing at the 4 on his cheap deal.

He needs to be thrown in to make salaries work. Murray and Mills for Lowry 2027 swap, 2028 and 2030 picks and I just don’t know how that deal gets beat unless the Spurs get froggy with there expirings and just give the Hawks their picks back.

How did it work with Herro and Caleb? Caleb learning more playmaking wouldn’t be an awful idea. If it’s effective, it would get Caleb more minutes and give us height/defense at the guard position.
