The problem with Cole is that both his good AND his bad are exacerbated on this team.
If the Magic were a more capable scoring team, they wouldn’t be so incredibly reliant on Cole - who is a bench player and is naturally going to have ups and downs - to score points.
But on this team Cole’s scoring is so desperately needed that they almost always struggle to win when he plays poorly.

I’m only trading Carter if it brings in a definite long-term upgrade in the backcourt.
Otherwise I’m just using picks and swaps and expirings.
I'm still on the fence with Carter....offensively i don't have a problem with him, i'm still not seeing consistent effort i want to see on the glass...i'm going to give him more time though but if he can have more games like tonight with 11 boards then i'll be more to your side of thinking.....Next game i better not see anything under 8 boards

Positions should change with more evidence.
I'm sticking with Claxton as the offseason target and targeting a swingman this deadline that can stretch the floor. I'm beginning to wonder if Cole is indeed the 6th man lock I thought he was to after the first quarter of the season. He's had a really rough 2nd quarter.

Caleb houstan: 15 minutes 0 points
Jett Howard: 3 minutes 5 points
(to be fair, caleb played against better comp)

I don't know if something is going to happen at the deadline but at the very least in the offseason something should happen....you can't look at this team as is and say.....let's run it back...again....If up to me i'd make some smaller moves at the deadline and try to get a jumpstart on building chemistry with the new guys instead of waiting until the offseason but.....we'll see

we have $35mil in expirings that disappear in 3 weeks. It'll be tougher to improve the roster without those. We would then be trading players we, ideally, want to keep to make moves. The FA market is weak too.

Dejounte just made another game-winning dagger with 2 seconds to go... from 28 feet out...

Front office has to decide if making the playoffs as is currently constructed with losing flexibility with our cap space is beneficial for this team.
We have a ton of holes with this roster, do we try and gain another valuable player through draft?

I’ll say it. I think PB played soft tonight. He needs to be in attack mode. He needed to force the refs to make a call. Dude was picking up his dribble and deferring to our scrubs.

That sucked.. so many different line ups and rotations for everyone except Suggs and Banchero. WCJ seems to be rounding into form. Fultz just garbage again. Liked the Minutes AB had he should still be starting.

Been missing those fastbreaks with AB, Jalen, Paolo, and Franz. That 8 game winning streak revealed a lot and then cats started getting healthy.
