Mazzulla rarely makes in game adjustments something Brad was amazing at. Murray hit some really tough shots but at the same time if he hits like two shots in a row, you gotta change it up and give him a different look.

Yup. In game adjustments are necessary especially if it's the same person or persons that are constantly torching you.

I don’t understand why our least efficient player is entitled to more shots than White and KP on such a frequent basis.

Keep in mind that White and KP benefit from all the space that the Jays create by just being on the floor. They might not be as efficient without them.

I agree JT’s gravity is off the charts. Pretty underrated on this board. He brings so much to the team even when he misses shots.

JB is another story. Replace him with any role player that can quick hit and make the unselfish play and we will be fine. JB benefits from the gravity of KP and JT but he’s not smart or skilled enough to help us win a championship. His shot profile KILLS us.

A floater is the same amount of points as a highlight dunk. A ball fake to open player for boring lay up is still 2 points. JB just does not have THAT nuance and IQ

If JB came off our bench and shot 10 shots a game I swear I would never talk sh*t again. It kills us that he think he’s the #2 EVERY game

Yup. Kind of feels like it. Nearly all our losses are in close games. Games we should have won most of them like tonight. Celtics have a whole second half of this season to figure out late game execution especially against good teams.

Bottomline, Nuggets were able to slow down our stars. We couldn't slow down theirs.

Their stars took 11 threes and the Jay's took 17. Smarter game with higher percentage shots for them.

My observation as well. But some folks here believe he's terrific. I'm underwhelmed so far.

Games like this & the Minnesota game are exactly what we need in the regular season.

It’s not going to always go our way like tonight but we can learn a lot from it.

It’s game 42 guys, chin up !

Denver deserves a lot of credit. They are the champs for a reason. We have a pretty big talent advantage but they gave up semi-open 3s and kept it close enough for their two stars to take them home.

The Jays were 15-43 for 35 points. Jokic and Murray were 29-43 for 69 points. +34 on the same amount of shots is insane.

just curious, would you feel the celtics be any better if you made a 2 for 1 trade and replaced jaylen brown with dejuante murray and bogdan?

Yup. He also has no bag on offense so you’re always like no no no when he tries doing things one on one. He’s been good at wide open corner threes I guess.

Porzingis has been a difference maker but holiday has been an okay upgrade. White leveling up this season has also made holiday’s stinky performances go less noticed but as the starting point guard, we need him in these big games.

I would bet my life that Joe liked the shots we got.

The clutch players on this team:

Kristapz
Horford
D White

The unclutch players:

Brown
Tatum
Jrue

I saw the deer in the headlights look often from Jrue when he was in Milwaukee. Brogdon and Smart were both far more clutch than he is. Brown and Tatum are what they are. Its the same thing that people have saying for ever, which is that Tatum led teams just do not have the clutch gene.

He’s the 5th option and the anchor of the defense. When everyone is healthy he barely gets 8 shots. In all those games the Jays were awful as well except the OKC game
