Since the criteria for 6MOY has generally been "best bench scorer" have there been players that you think that really deserved a 6MOY but just got snubbed?
I don't think he was a snub but I think GP2 was amazing off the bench for the 2022 Warriors and clearly made an impact whenever he came off the bench.

Manu, duh.
Haven't thought on them all, and no real memory of how big the snubs were, but my picks for a couple years that are different than those chosen:
'97 Kukoc repeat
'99 Sheed
'03 AK47
'04 Manu
'07 Manu
'09 Odom
'10 Manu
'15/'16/'17 Iguodala
'21 Ingles
'23 Quickley

Re: Biggest 6MOY snubs?
I hate that they gave it to Clarkson over Ingles, and as mentioned above Manu should've ripped off a more ridiculous amount of wins

Taj Gibson probably deserved multiple like Iggy did.
It's actually incredible that Iggy never won one considering how featured the Warriors were and he had an FMVP. Shows just how much one way scoring is for the award, and how little the voters actually care.

Re: Biggest 6MOY snubs?
Haven't done research about this particular issue for years prior to the ones I followed in real time, so I'll just stick to years post-2005.
'07 Manu is an obvious choice. Barbosa had an excellent year as an instant offense scorer off the bench, super efficient. However, I think he only got it because Manu had been a starter in previous two seasons and wasn't really thought of as a sixth man at the time even though he only started 36 of the 75 games he played. His production wasn't much different than what he put up in '05 when he became an All-Star, in fact it may have even been better.
'10 Manu is another one and I think that one is even more egregious than '07 because at this point Manu was clearly established as a sixth man. He had been in his fourth season playing the role. Once again, very similar production to his All-Star season, he was hardly a different player. He became an All-Star the next year when he returned to the starting role and had an inferior season, which kind of illustrates how much credit is pointlessly given to being a starter in the NBA. The award went to Jamal Crawford, who had a pretty similar season to Barbosa in '07.
'15 Iguodala would round out my Top 3. Pretty obvious case of overvaluing instant scoring off the bench as opposed to other facets of the game. Kerr convincing Iguodala to come off the bench was a huge factor in the Warriors' 16-win jump compared to the previous season. He gave them a playmaker to lead the second unit, which was a bigger deal than it would have been for other teams because of the way the Warriors played. He was one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and his presence likewise allowed the Warriors' second unit to remain good defensively. Whereas Lou Williams didn't even have a particularly strong season, 15.5 PPG on 48.6% eFG isn't much to write home about considering he wasn't much of a playmaker and was a weak defender. His instant scoring was important for the Raps, not enough to overcome Iggy.

1989 Dennis Rodman
Averaged (per 75): 12.5pts 13.2rebs 2.3stocks +7.3% rTS on 3rd Best Defense
1996 Arvydas Sabonis
Averaged (per 75): 24pts 13rebs 3asts 3stocks +7.5% rTS
Sabonis was a fringe All NBA level player in his rookie campaign. He was the '96 Blazers best player.

They both don't care and don't understand. I'd argue they don't care because they don't understand and therefore don't grasp the value of the other things.

Kukoc missed too many games in '97. Odom started too many games due to Andrew Bynum's injury.

Ricky Pierce in 1994. Somehow he finished 4th despite being very productive for the team with the best record.
