The kid is getting better every game, and Barnes is figuring out how to utilize him. He is just a pure 3-level scorer who can use both hands going to the rim. The way UT plays defense, if they can get anything offensively out of Jordan-James and Vescovi, they have a real shot to make some noise this season.

Kobe Johnson's shooting has fallen off a cliff from 3 and I'm sure it's not helpful with the whole circus coming to town (Bronny, Collier). That said, as a role player, he has elite traits. If he is around in the second round, I'd do what we can to pick him up. Give him time to get his shooting right (career 80% FT shooter) and he's an ideal SF role player in this league.

I'm just scared of these defensive SG and SF types who don't project to be league average or better shooters. Springer failing to develop has me shook.

That's fair, and the more volume on his threes, the worse he's shot which is in line with Springer.

I don't know how much this guy has been talked about since I've been a bit out of the loop on this year's draft class, but he has the numbers and looks the part. Seems like Cal is bad and he's transferred 2 times already in his career. Other than that, I haven't found many red flags yet.

looks like one of the transfers was just due to his coach being a racist A-hole, good on the kid for not putting up with that ****

David Jones out of Memphis. More people should be talking about him. 6'6 195 LBS, can really shoot it from deep. Watching him right now and he's head and shoulders the best player on the floor. Very fluid with his movements and he's got an NBA body. He's a senior with a lot of basketball experience. If Memphis makes a run in the tournament, expect his name to start showing up on draft boards. He's a nice player...Gifted scorer.

Dalton Knecht mowing through Alabama. Is it too early to give out Player of the Year?

RaeQuan Battle of West Virginia. 5th year senior guard. Athletic scorer, reminds me of Latrell Sprewell...The Sam's Club version.

He had an 'off' day, really, 8-20 from the floor and 1-6 from three. But he was running the floor on the break, cutting to the rim beautifully, and got to the line. He seemed to know he wasn't sharp, but the kid is becoming a complete player. They basically suffocated Alabama defensively. This might be Barnes' best UT team, definitely the most explosive and with the most weapons that can contribute on a given night.

I think this is the best your offense has looked since the Williams and Schofield year.

I'm glad to see them rewarded for bringing in a dynamic scorer from a small conference. I've been lobbying for teams to do that for years. Kentucky is being rewarded by doing that with Antonio Reeves and now Tennessee is reaping the rewards of doing that with Dalton Knecht.

If they can stay healthy, this group is a lot deeper than the Williams team, which only went 7 deep in big games. Barnes has an 8-player core and has been working a couple of freshmen into the rotation in recent games. The UT-UK matchup should be a lot of fun.

Uhh, if the Cats figure out the rotation and are a cohesive unit, they could win out the rest of the year. I've been waiting for him to be cleared and he showed up in his debut last night. He's about to shoot up draft boards if he keeps this up.

Never mind, Cal is a **** in game coach and can only win when he has NBA players who win in spite of him.

Even when he has a team with more than 6 future NBA players, he still can’t figure out how to win it all.

Unless DJ Wagner has some kind of glow up in the NBA, I couldn't imagine considering taking him in this draft in the first round. He's looked underwhelming every step of the way so far this season.

DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards should be playing 15-20 mpg, max.

Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard should be playing 30+ mpg.

Antonio Reeves should be playing SF minutes so that he, Reed and Rob can all play heavy minutes together at all times.

So far, I have Topic and Sheppard as #1&2 in this year’s draft.

Topic because of his ability to be an alpha. Sheppard reminds me of Lonzo Ball back then.

Im shorting the Sarr stock. Im not spending a top 5 pick for his archetype.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
