The speculation about him not wanting to come to Toronto were 100% true.

Can you post the article about him not wanting to come as I just of missed that.

I hate that players can just openly campaign their exit like this and really we can't do anything about it. This is what the NBA wants anyway. I'm not sure New York has anything we want. Just ask for the sun and moon from all bidders and keep him if nothing is offered. He'll be 29 when his new contract kicks in. He doesn't have much choice.

nah.

he's repped by CAA. you don't piss off players and their agents by being petty.

You’re handicapping yourself if you trade players to teams they want to play for only

We're also not here as a farm for LA, NY and Miami. We're not going back 2 decades ago where players refused to come to Toronto and we bent over backwards for them.

Also, it looks like CAA is to New York what clutch is to the Lakers. Not like their agents are pushing their players here anyway

We are rebuilding so you can't blame a vet who just won a chip from wanting to play for a contending team. I just find it really unprofessional to talk about it in such detail like he did. It was borderline tampering but the media in New York are vultures and probably baited him.

Trade Brown now, it's a no-brainer. Kick the can down the road with 1 or 2 of our '24 pics. Keep the steady flow of talent incoming and flexibility for further trades.

Brown doesn't move the needle here at all.
He's OG Lite-Lite.

The Siakam trade looking more and more like the Vince Carter trade. Mourning didn't want to come here. Bruce openly praising NY after 2 games. Very Babcockian of Masai.

LOL.

Those comments from Brown is a slap on the face to Darko and definitely a campaign to be a Knick. Masai should not give in and accept the best available offer by any team

You can definitely blame a player for driving down their personal value to end up on the team they want to go to. This is a huge business and these guys are intentionally putting another owner's business at a disadvantage by doing this. Now NY will think they can offer 50 cents on the dollar for his services. You have him under contract to end of next season. Find the highest bidder. He's also fighting for his next contact. He can't dog it after calling himself a "dog".

Too bad Denver doesn't have anything to make the salaries work. Pretty sure both sides would welcome a reunion.

Wonder if we'd be winning some of these games if Poetl was playing. It's too bad as we could conceivably make a run towards the play in and keep him.

If Brown calls himself a dog, last night certainly was no indication. He seems pretty high on himself and I'll be happy when he's gone. Trade him to Detroit, just for fun!

Send him to Utah! Very unprofessional for a vet to get baited into such a detailed answer.

Grimes + FRP seems inevitable. And that would be a solid enough return. Grimes has had a down year but he’s shown promise. And adding another FRP just sets us up with more assets if we decided to trade for a guy like Herb Jones, who should be a priority target

I don't think those comments are going to sit well with fans

If New York wants him, and think they can trade Fournier's awful contract for him, I'd ask for a King's ransom worth of picks

I could only imagine what his IG comments would look like if he didn't limit his interactions

Fournier’s contract isn’t bad. It’s essentially an expiring. He’s an expiring filler on a team option which is the best kind of filler.
