Checked some stats and in the 10 games before the OG trade Julius Randle was averaging 3.7 assists. In the 10 games after he's up to 5.6 apg. OG is making everyone better.

Props to Randle best game I seen him as a Knick. Did not pound the ball looked like diaw in his suns days with his passing even with the turnovers.

Why can’t he do this? Just do this? He literally made his teammate better tonight.

No RJ / new OG Knicks has been great to watch as a product in general

He hasn't had a consistent role and he has had to develop these skills as well. This is the same Randle that started under Fizdale but with more experience.

He's been doing this all year but this game the Raptors chose to double him at the top leaving passes open. And the Raptors are not talented or big so it gets easier.

He was bad last night but after reading that I almost want to do it if the price is low. He’s effectively an expiring contract or we can pick up his option and have him on $23M expiring deal to include in a star trade next year, seems like a move that makes a lot of sense and he fits the culture. The culture!

I just don't know how you play 3 of Hart/Brown/Randle/IHart/Achiuwa together at the same time.
teams would just clog the paint in the playoffs and you hope Brunson makes 10 pullup threes every night.

With Grimes gone or benched in this scenario, you basically would have 3.5 shooters in the rotation.

I can feel for Brown - he was traded to a team in a small city outside the US where it was 11ºF this morning. His style of play is Thibs' style. But as everybody says, he's so similar to Hart that we can't use them both together.

But I like this for us — players are seeing what's going on in NY and want to become a part of the Knicks as the team approaches a level of being contenders for a while. There's also a lot of team chemistry, so it's a great place for our players to be (except for the lamentable 4nier).

Small city? Toronto is 4th or 5th largest city in North America.

OGis making catch and shoot shots. Anything passed to RJ was dribble drive or brickish. There's a stylistic change.

I didn’t know a wing play can transform a defense by himself. He averaging more blocks now he may get DPOY if Knicks continue this. Especially with this market.

I hope he has a monster postseason so he can finally start getting some respect. Cause people really obsess about his shortcomings in a way that they just don't for other players who are around his level.

I get that he's not always the most aesthetically pleasing watch, he's not the kind of super high IQ player that people love, and some of his spots aren't "good shots"...there's a reason I was a hater at first too lol...but he's still a really good player who makes a huge impact for this team.

We're lucky to have two All-NBA caliber players...plus an All-defensive team guy...all in their primes.

Want to see consistent defensive intensity and not checking out in frustration. He’s seemed to improve in both areas this season. But as you mention, need to see it in the playoffs to truly believe.

They can say whatever they want, but RJ and IQ miss it here.

They both tried ignoring the video tribute last night to avoid getting emotional. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but at one point IQ sat on his bench with his eyes closed during the tribute. Their faces said volumes.

He's fast enough to defend guards and strong and tall enough (with wingspan) to defend 4's and help on 5's.
