Wow I wished I watched the comeback! I figured since the team was losing by a bit I'd go do other errands

Not sure if it's going to be watching a heartbreaking loss or an amazing comeback, but I'm fairly certain that's how I'll go out.

I'm not going to look at this as an amazing comeback. I'm looking at this like a game where we were lackadaisical. There are some games where you can come back and then there are those you couldn't.
I'm glad that the Beard and Russ stepped up and saved the day.

Previous teams I would've cut it off when they were down 18 in the 4th but, this team just has an aura they've never had. No matter when they're down, I still feel like they're gonna win.Scoundreldays wrote:Wow I wished I watched the comeback! I figured since the team was losing by a bit I'd go do other errands

I actually thought this was going to be a tough game as the Nets beat the Lakers on Friday. I also thought a lot of the players would be hyped for this game. Cam Thomas always kills us. Miles Bridges probably likes measuring himself against PG and Kawhi. And Spencer Dinwiddie has had a bit of a boost due to rumors of playing without effort, plus he's playing at home. I liked that Harden and Russ basically brought the team back and Harden had the ball in his hands a lot in the 4th and was aggressive. Didn't like the late turnover by Kawhi, or some of the possessions where he held the ball even though I know he a bunch of points in the last 5 minutes. I also like the team can put up 125 with PG going 5-17.

I just watched the highlights. It was kinda funny reading the posts. Props to you for keeping hope alive when most threw in the towel (me included) lol.
I think Russ has earned himself some more minutes based on his recent play. I noticed both Plumlee and Theis didn't play too many minutes and I was wondering who was rebounding... Then I saw Westbrook's stats... Brodie got the team's back.

Yeah , we have seen these type of games before.
George and Leonard were ice cold and could not make a bucket. Harden and Westbrook kept them in the game for 3 quarters - even when things got ugly and Nets got up by 18-19 points.
Kawhi had like 14 in the 4th and it started at the 5 minutes mark when clippers turned up the defensive pressure.

This is a game we would've lost last season without question. Glad Kawhi woke up and brought us home. Good game from Russ as well. Hopefully the dreaded 12 noon games are almost a thing of the past. Need a countdown for them actually. Must win against the Lakers on Tuesday night

It looks like we have 6 more early home games left. against Bulls, Bucks, 76ers , Rockets, Cavs, Pistons. First two are back to back Saturday-Sunday

The craziest thing is that this isn't even the first time we've ended a game on a 22-0 run. We did it to the Grizzlies in 2009. That was also a big 4th-quarter comeback in a Sunday matinee game.
This franchise has by far the craziest stats when it comes to comebacks.

At least we know now this team has character. I couldn't say that for pre-russ LAC teams. Also, good to know they can switch-on on D easily.
2023 Clippers W/L Count (51-31)
(Russ at bench 42-15)
without PG13 3-3
Without Kawhi 7-4
Without Russ 6-6

Just in case you missed the final minutes
