I stream games and sometimes can't get the home feed so have heard most of the other broadcast teams at least a few times over the past few years - Raps are at least in the top half of the league. As homerish as Matt and Jack can be, it could be a whooooole lot worse. I do wish they'd stay on task more as they have a tendency to get wrapped up in their own thing sometimes.
The sound I think is the weakest aspect. The odd delay that happens too frequently. Dull crowd audio (of an already dull crowd these days). Above all they don't seem to have an ability to read the game or room to work the crowd.
The video team is average at best, and it's clear they miscue a lot.
Totally aside, but I've always been a fan of MSG's theatre lighting. It gives games a whole different feel that I really enjoy.
Just my random odds n ends thoughts.

Hey, we have never picked apart the Mop Girl.

Did anyone else notice the complete lack of gambling ads at MSG. That was refreshing.

Re: Worst production crew in the NBA
If you watch enough other local broadcasts, you'll realize the Raps broadcast is... fine. Not great, and it would be nice to clean up a few of the production problems, but fine.
I don't personally like Devlin very much, but he's a professional broadcaster. He gets jobs for other teams and sports during the offseason. I really wanted to like Alvin Williams, but he's just not cut out for it. He might be better on the panel where he can pick his spots. Jack is Jack. I still like him 80% of the time, but the rest is total cringe.

Re: Worst production crew in the NBA
would be nice if we could add in the blackout stage lighting in the lower seating like some teams have. matt and jack are good. matt and alvin a notch below but still above average. sn on the whole is worse than tsn, like everything about it seems weird on sn like it’s run by puckheads who don’t know much about tv or graphics or production but man if you watch league pass the raptors are far from the worst. i agree we suck at some things like how we always cue up replays late like 2 highlights behind where they should be but still it’s ok overall.
