So either trade him now, or try to keep him for less than a max.

This so much. We've seen a long list of teams max out guys just cause they can drop 20 a night, and then almost instantly regret (Poole, Barret, Tobias Harris, Herro).

Miles does absolutely nothing unique or special in terms of winning and impact.

We still be one of the worst teams in the league with or without him.

And pretty much every player averaging 20 ppg costs multiple firsts to acquire, so not sure that is a selling point like they are everywhere and cheap to acquire.

Is PJ Washington on the trade block? What kind if return is Charlotte seeking if he is?

Washington/Rozier for Murray.

Take it or leave it?

Just the kind of guy we need but we shouldn't be sending out picks to anyone.

I'm mainly curious what they are looking add. They have one of the deepest teams in the league. Their issue is neither of their Allstars in Ingram and Zion are making the jump to superstardom like most expected.

Maybe a more pure PG?

I highly doubt this Herb Jones rumor is legit. It is only being reported by 1 guy and the reason for him being available makes no sense.

I would be floored if they moved him and if it is probably for an allstar talent.

Easy pass.
Not interested in Rozier. Hawks shouldn't be looking to get another small guard.

I honestly don't see a reason to move PJ right now. He is signed to a 3 year deal. We are flirting with idea of moving/not extending Bridges. So we are just going to have no PFs?

Lets rush to trade PJ when he is playing his worst and has all-time low trade value? It makes no sense. If he was expiring then sure, but he is 25 yrs old and signed through his prime on a reasonable deal. I would just hold.

This draft probably only has 1 guy in the top 10 who can play PF and that is Sarr. Very unlikely we use a draft pick on a front court player so PJ should have a hefty role next year.

We are bad, but seeing a lot of people complain we haven't given Melo the same help as Minny/Indy/Atl has for Trae, Hali and Edwards so here is how you do it if you just want to win more games.

I am sure we could trade 3 firsts, Miller, Mark, NSj and be a lot better this year and next if that is all that matters.

Honestly I'm fine with being bad another year. Ace, Flagg, Boozer are available in 25 and we still got Lamelo locked in for like 6 years. People forgot how long the Wolves have sucked and have traded their future to be the New 2021 Utah Jazz.

You can see it as we got our KAT in Lamelo now we need to get our Edwards (Holland I pray).

What happens if we suck for 3 straight years, but then in 2025 don't win a top 3 pick and end up picking 7th or something?

Just being painfully realistic here, this team is 2 years away from being 2 years away.

We need a new staff from coaching to medical, a better culture, and a healthy dosage of 3 to 4 more actual rotational quality players that can play a lick of defense.

On the subject of sucking, I don't care if we suck for another 5 years, as long as we suck with some purpose.

There are multiple teams that were just as bad if not worse than us these past few years. Houston, OKC, Minnesota, Orlando.

And now all 4 of them are fighting for the playoffs, have young talent to win now and later, and 2 of them are contenders. One of which has an MVP candidate.

There is a large difference between being bad with the intent to accumulate assets, develop players and maintain flexibility and being bad because you're just bad at being good.

We're solidly in that 2nd camp.

Hey all!
I saw this article pop up and wanted to know what type of player Nick Richards is.
Suns would get him to be the backup since each backup big has failed this season.

Also, what do you think it would cost for the Suns to be able to land him. Obviously, their assets are limited.

Nasir Little (who is clearly being benched until the deadline), 4 2nds, a couple of trade exceptions, Goodwin.

I don't expect them to trade Allen, Nurk, or the big 3.
Just curious if it's feasible to trade for him.
