I just love that everyone pre draft (except those who knew) was saying how he was this can't miss prospect, and that you would be a fool to draft anyone ahead of him. Too many people writing checks their ass can't cash.

We are human. We make mistakes on 18 year olds we have never met. It's fine. Life will go on. My life will still be just as awesome as it was before. I will still be paid what I am worth from my employer. I will still have family who love me and a girlfriend I will someday Marry. I will still be taking 2-3 International Trips every year and utilize my 30+ Days of PTO to limit the stress in my life.
It will be okay!

Good to hear it. I respect you taking the L and not just throwing out some whataboutism like Clyde.

Blazers trying to get that Brogdon trade value back up, could be a slow few weeks for Scoot.

It’s the right play.
Scoot is hard to watch.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Yeah I wanted Miller, but watching Scoot live up close has me believe he'll become great, in time.

Amen:
15, 14, 5, 1 on 5-10 shooting and held Tatum to 4-17 shooting.
Do I need to keep going, or are we good now?

I think I speak for the entire board when I say that you did not need to keep going for the last ~500 posts. We're good, and you'll hopefully stop now. Thanks.

The zero character approach taken by the Hornets is clearly working out very well as they're one of the worst teams in NBA history yet again.

Hornets biggest issue this year is health. They have the most games missed only behind Grizz this year at 174 games, which is nearly 2x the league avg. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/injured-reserve/cumulative-team/
They have played nearly 30 games with 1 real center. Williams/Richards have been missing.
LaMelo obivously missing over half the season is the main factor.
but 65 games missed combined by Hayward, Rozier, Bridges and Martin is also a lot.
Miller actually leads the team in mins and games played this year.

Oh wow, LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward got injured????
Who could have seen that one coming.
Anyway, you're a -11.5 and your team would be bad even if LaMelo and Mark Williams had been healthy this year. The Hornets are still a -7.8 per 100 with LaMelo on the court.
Anyway, adding two huge losers in Miller and Bridges to your team because you think that you can compete, only to be one of the worst teams in NBA history is extremely funny, have to say.

LaMelo + Williams past 2 seasons: -4.14 Net Rtg
No LaMelo + No Williams past 2 seasons: -9.90 Net Rtg
Safe to say Charlotte would have been the 6th or 7th worst team had LaMelo + Williams been healthy, and are instead the worst team in the NBA by MOV/SRS with them injured.
I think it is easy for Charlotte fans to turn to injuries, but when you have 1 Top 50 player in the NBA in LaMelo and no other Top 100 Players, you aren't going to be a competitive team.

Top 100 player is so ambiguous, but sure.
I mean Williams was a reserve as a rookie most of last year, not sure that sample size is really what you should use to determine if he is a difference maker. And it less about Williams and Ball this year, more the revolving door of having 3-4 of our top 8 guys every single game. Leading to our 10-13 man playing real mins nightly. No team will be good under those circumstances.

Yup, it is. I wouldn't consider Mark Williams or Gordon Hayward Top 100 guys.
You can think of Top 100 guys as Top 3-4 players on a competitive team. Do you think either of them, at the moment, are Top 3-4 players on a Play-off team?

I know, that's the point though. Charlotte wasn't going to be good whether LaMelo was injured or not. They just lack so much talent outside of LaMelo. Hopefully Miller continues to play well and improves into next year, the team makes reasonable moves with their cap space and can try to be competitive as they gun for the Play-In.

Re: Scoot Henderson
LaMelo and Mark Williams have shown a lot of flashes, but I think there have to be serious longevity concerns with both guys at this point. Mark Williams being a 7'2" center whose back isn't responding to any treatments is a massive red flag. LaMelo with his brother's history also has huge red flags.
Bringing in two extremely bad people in Miller and Bridges to join your genuinely terrible team that was years away at best just seems ethically terrible while being extremely stupid. Now you get to be one of the worst teams in NBA history while having two guys who seem to have no remorse for what they did and are probably major risks for horrific controversy.

Re: Scoot Henderson
Portland probably needs to move on from Billups.
He is bringing the two building blocks of the team off the bench for injury prone Malcolm Brogdon.
I get wanting to showcase Brogdon, but I feel like the team acquiring will use him off the bench anyways, no reason to bring Sharpe and Scoot off the bench.

Any surprises here? I was told to not consider defense when evaluating Scoot and that outside of Wemby none of the prospects had differentiated themselves defensively.
