Miami Heat 2023/2024 Regular Season - Thread 3.0

DeRozan is a gifted scorer but I just don't get the interest when we:

1) don't need anymore wings (that's like all we have are wings lol)

2) already have poor spacing with Butler and Bam, you want 3 out of 5 guys on the floor to not really be 3pt shooters now?

This is such a Miami Heat move, an old, past his prime player, whom once was a guy on a team and now can't be counted to be your 4th or 5th best.

I have been saying keep an eye on DeRozan. He has an expiring contract the Heat wants and would be a win now move. His contract could help them facilitate a three team deal.

PG: Rozier - Richardson
SG: Herro - Swider - Cain
SF: Butler - DeRozan
PF: Highsmith - Jaquez Jr
Ce: Adebayo - Love

We won't have enough assets for DeRozen and his fit here would be questionable. The Bulls will ask for picks and Jaime/Jovic. That's a pass.

Heat gotta focus more on landing a PG here instead of a wing player.

Every beat writer just throwing Miami on their title for clicks.

Its gonna have to be a three team deal. No way the Heat going over the 2nd apron and trade draft picks. They will not be able to do anything for years.

Lowry’s expiring contract puts the team in a position to possibly resign Bridges in the offseason.

Furthermore, he’s not a bad guy to have in the playoffs.
