This is the first time I’ve heard Paul Pierce say nice things about Toronto.

I'm fine being the scrappy underdogs with a young core who play hard every night

Took Masai 3 years to get 2 NBA level PGs on the team simultaneously.. how much longer do we gotta wait for 2 nba level Centers?

I don't know... Haven't heard Paul Pierce say the smartest things as analyst. So not gonna all of a sudden feel good just because he complements us. More like uh uh, are we doing something wrong?

Lots of Knicks fans are already regretting trading him.

I am absolutely pumped to have RJ on this team. If we were able to swing a similar deal for a better player in Siakam, our rebuild would have been looking amazing already.

This is why I love the OG trade. In just one move, Masai was able to have a new young core to develop and build around. pre OG trade the team ha a weird combination of young talent and a couple of dudes who are in their primes in win now mode. post OG trade the team can now focus on developing young players with the key players being Barnes, Barrett and Quickley.

Also, even though Brown could get moved and would probably prefer to be moved, I hope he can instill some toughness into the young players, which is why I wouldn't mind keeping him on a reasonable contract past next season.

Pierce also said he had a better career than Wade so........

Who cares what they have to say.

Our roster is a work in progress. Too early to assess. Let’s discuss after free agency.

Roster reminds me so much of the team post-Rudy Gay trade.

IQ = Lowry
RJ = DeRozan
Scottie = Patrick Patterson

So many similarities.

that team instantly became a playoff team… I thought I saw it initially with siakam still here but I don’t quite see it now especially with gams like tonight
