We may need to consolidate him in a trade with Duncan and Jovic. JJJ Highsmith and Cain have made him expendable.

Duncan, Bryant, and Smith for Kelly Olynyk and Talen Horton Tucker also works. Deal saves an extra 3 million

Herro is staying put brother. Duncan's is the contract that we needs to be put in play. Herro is the better long term trade asset but not this year.

Yep I agree

This would be a great deal for us, we get our 4 and backup PG but what assets are you attaching?

we finally made a move and honestly we got a steal for what little we paid. It's connections that matter in this league.

Interesting discussion. Almost certain the 2026 LAL second rd pick and flip Duncan to a contender like the Wolves who have a great need for someone like him that gives back the Jazz another asset.

1.11 ppp as pick and roll ballhandler on 7.6 possessions per game. Among players that have 5 or more pick and roll possessions as a ballhandler per game this season, Terry is second in efficiency behind only Tyrese Haliburton (1.12 ppp on 9.4 possessions per game)

Jermi Grant
Kuzma
Pistons Bojan
PJ Washington i guess isn't happening or would be attached to Rozier

Who else is out there?

DeRozan because he's expiring but would stay far way from that considering his little rotund BFF just got his heart broke.

Duncan Martin and Jovic actually works perfect for Derozan. I’d love to get Caruso too but don’t think we can make that work.

The Heat always circle back! I think you’re overstating the Lowry thing, him and Jimmy are boys and he’s another Wade protege, there has been mutual interest for a long time.

The fit would be weird though and I think it’s unlikely

I really like the simple deal with the Jazz to get KO here. Makes a ton of sense to get him here reunited with Bam. Had one of the best connections with Bam and Spo trusted it. Would be an upgrade and Jovic could learn how KO plays with him.

Good riddance Lowry. He was a bum most of his time here. He was alright in the last playoffs and at the start of this year, but was invisible for most of his time.

Hate that this is the return we got for Goran.

Hate that we traded Precious for a bum guard.

Hate that we drafted Precious instead of Maxey to begin with which made us need to go after this bum guard.

I always liked KO and hated to see him go, but I liked Oladipo more so that was the only reason that him leaving didn't upset me too much. I'd love him back though.

Bam rolls the 8th most possessions in league this year at 3.3 a game, of guys in the top 8 he also ranks 2nd at 1.16 PPP behind Myles Turner 4.1 rolls a game and 1.43 PPP :o

Indiana offense is nuts. Scary Terry should help here a lot.

Last time Bam played with a good PG (Dragics last season) he was at the same volume but 1.32 PPP

I hope Jovic stays. He’ll be the equivalent of our draft pick for next year, but with 2 years of seasoning .

He was good to start off his Heat tenure that first year. I remember what a difference having him made pushing the tempo and running the point. But then halfway through that first year or so he started doing the unexplained extended absence stuff and he was never the same after that. Only saw that Lowry in small short spurts here and there again.

I’m glad we’re able to be active in the buyout market too, I’m confident some players will shake loose that can help our rotation if needed. Specifically backup PG

Objectively, Terry is a good player (despite being a bit of a meme wasting away in Charlotte). Take a step back and look at the synergy of the addition, and given the Heat's personnel and needs, the benefit should be even greater than the sum of the parts.

It would lighten the feels blow among the fan base and locker room swapping out Duncan for KO. Just makes sense financially moving forward. We have to maintain some semblance of flexibility going into next year and having that 20-22 million with Bryant included coming off the books next year does just that. You also have the luxury of resigning KO dirt cheap next year. Much cheaper then harboring Duncan at 19.4 million.

Derozen isn't a PF and isn't shooting 3's.

Kelly O is a nice backup, we need to ain higher.

A legit, 2 way starting PF please.

We can officially do a lot of things right now with the financial flexibility. Even sign Aldones to a couple of 10 day contracts. Door is wide open for us right now.

Return to Miami Heat
