Congratulations, gentlemen. We got rid of the 90 million dollar waste of money. We would have been so much better off keeping Dragic and Precious. Had Dragic not had that few months off where he was sent home from Toronto which effectively ended his career, he probably would have been more productive for the price than Lowry was. Plus we would have kept Precious off the bench.

It’s not a substantial move lol. We cut salary and got a guy that takes 20 shots to get 20 points on a terrible team. Some of you are REALLY overhyping this trade up and are setting up for massive disappointment. This was a tax saving move which is why Mickey approved it in his sleep.

What? Rozier has a TS% of .574, that's higher than Bam, Richardson, Herro, Highsmith and Martin. He's not an all-nba player but he's the vet scoring guard Miami has needed which should translate to better scoring consistency, I just wish he was more playoff tested, that's what makes me nervous with him.

The solution is simple, don't watch ESPN. I cut them off years ago and don't miss them one bit.

His option wouldn't have been picked up to trade him to Toronto which was needed because they extended Bam a year early after Giannis agreed to his supermax so Miami had no reason to keep Bam's low cap hold. Miami has had chances the last couple of years to just Dragic to the bench for the vet minimum and has just refused to do it.

I’m still not certain if Precious is an NBA-quality player.

Trading Duncan and/or Martin to a contender for draft compensation and a vet should be the goal

Of course they’ve refused. You can’t have 2 senior citizen in the same position and 3 over (Haslem) all on the same team.

Chalk him up there with Winslow as bust. We can’t hit on them all

I'm certain there's nothing to lament about sending him away

People haven't realized the shot distribution will be changing dramatically for some players. Miami is adding a scoring PG vs a PG who was allowing everyone else to shoot, so that's a pretty large change and when this team is healthy Jaquez Jr should be getting more shots, Martin should be getting more shots and where are all those shots coming from? Probably not Butler, maybe some from Bam and probably a bunch from Herro and if Herro's volume drops so does his value since his value is his volume scoring although he's an inefficient scorer with a guy that has such a good outside shot. If Herro's role starts to be reduced to a spot up shooter, he'll be a vastly overpaid in his role as a spot up shooter and I'm not sure he'll be happy in that role since he has much higher aspirations for his career.
Herro is gonna be chucking, he doesn’t do anything if he’s not scoring unfortunately

That may be true, would that have been the same in the Heat’s system? Who knows?
Are you certain that a more developed Precious couldn’t have provided more than Cody Zeller? Because I am not certain.
I agree. Nothing to lament about trading him away, but we probably would have been better off with Dragic and him over Lowry.

Some of these trade proposals
This is why you give Spo the big bucks. People complained he doesn't have enough talent, they go out and get him guys and now we want to trade more. Martin (due to his pending contract situation) and Thomas Bryant are the pieces we are probably working with. I doubt Jovic is on the table and you don't move Herro for a journeyman.

I'm sorry, what? Dude takes 18 shots to get 23 points at a +1.4rTS% for his position. Not only that, he's a significant upgrade at a position of need for a team that made the NBA Finals last year and the ECF the year prior. Not to mention dude has been a stable playmaker all year, near the top of the league in P&R efficiency -- and is being paired with one of the elite roll-men in the league. You would think that, since dude plays for such a **** team, his efficiency would be in the dumps -- yet it's actually pretty good. It absolutely is a significant move.
For reference, Tyler is at a -2.2rTS% for his position, yet if Tyler was traded it'd be talked about all day lol.

Sadly Dragic has been done in the NBA for a couple years now. We all love him, but time passes some players by. Once he couldn't get into the paint anymore and control with tempo, he lost his fastball.
