Hoping we make an ACTUAL winning trade by the deadline. Not a money saving move disguised as an upgrade. Still have a massive hole at PF. There’s still “hope” but it’s very minimal imo

So entertain us all. Name 4 realistic names you think are a fit at PF

The issue is there isn’t anyone great enough available that pushes us over the top. When there was a guy available, it was Lillard and Riley didn’t get it done. So now we settle on Scary Hours. Now we need a PF. We don’t have the assets to land star so your looking at mid and low tier guys. Those are guys like Dorian Finney Smith/Keegan Murray/Kuzma/Randle/Jeremy Grant/Collins/JJJ/Kelly O. Only realistic ones I see is Dorian, Kuzma, Kelly. None of them make us title contenders but they do improve the team.

If we’re talking unrealistic guys, the actual ones that would propel us to a title chance. We would need Towns/Lauri Mark/AD/KD. None of which are remotely attainable. Hence my position that we will not be winning this year. We might’ve, if we landed Lillard and a very good PF. But we didn’t. Sometimes you lose the season before it starts and I believe this is one of those years. Scary Terry hasn’t changed this.

Oh you must think getting Lillard would have been cheap...get Lillard AND a good pf? Lol

If we can manage to trade Calab Martin to OKC for our 25 1RP we than have access to 3 First round picks,. 24, 26 and 30 along with Herro we'll be able to get an Allstar type of player that can be the missing piece.

Could’ve been. Lillard trade would’ve needed a bunch of matching salary. And I’d argue if we had Lillard instead of Terry we wouldn’t need a PF nearly as much as we do now. But still would prefer to have someone better than Love/Highsmith for sure

Salary wide we got enough left in the bank to sort out our G-league guys and start brining them up to see if any work in the NBA?

Because OKC can make a legit run at it this season, and Caleb would actually fit them very nicely.

I like how weve added JJJ, Rozier and Herro to the Finals team from last year.

I’ll take the loss like you did with Bosh vs. Bam poll.

Hey it’s all good, to this day no one built an even respectable argument for Bosh, it was all just straight up name recognition lol. He’s got a better deep jump shot I’ll give him that’s, outside of that…….

Meanwhile at Bams current trajectory he will just continue to prove I was right about that AND is a lock for hall of fame so you’ll be wrong on that too whether he wins a championship or not

I'm one of the biggest Bam stans here, so I hope he continues to improve to the point of HOF lock. Thinking of similar players to him, Kemp and Stoudemire haven't made it, and we'll see if Blake makes it. So he'll have to put up a resume better than theirs.

Bams better and gets better every year, stay tuned

Rozier / Richardson
Herro / Robinson
Butler / Jaquez
Martin / Highsmith or Jovic
Adebayo / Love

That's probably going to end up the 5, unless we swing a deal.

I liked it, it worked and size has never been the issue (can’t say that for myself  )

I think that 5 would work reasonably well. Caleb as the slasher/cutter and can still hit the spot up 3 at a decent clip.

Terry and Butler with most of the onball stuff. Herro as secondary option as playmaker but a good spot up guy. Bam the hub that makes it all work.

We'd be undersized, but that's nothing new.

IF Herro is starting which is likely, you have to start Highsmith. Defensive specialist who can hit the 3, very low usage guy out there doing dirty work. There is only 1 ball, if Martin is fine with that role maybe start him but I’m going with the 2nd best defender on the team. Hes all defense level

Yes this is the way, mentioned this earlier and the more I’ve thought about it the more it makes sense. At the 4 we have Highsmith JJJ we can sign Cain and there’s a lot of Tucker buyout smoke. We’ll be fine, we have alot jam at the win and Martin is our best bet to recoup the 1st we sent out for Terry. Send a 2nd with him if you have to.

That’s a win-win for both sides. Thunder improve their bench, unless they want to start him over Dort which will improve the bench. They have more picks than they know what to do with anyways

Cheap contract, instantly their best bench player. Big moments with Big game experience for a team hoping to make some noise in the playoffs.
