Maybe I am sick in the head but I find this fun. I am watching more games than ever rooting for teams to beat the Pacers/OKC/Clippers or rooting for teams below those teams to win to pass them.

I was really surprised they brought him back so quickly. You would figure they would be more cautious considering he's the future of their franchise.

Alright, we're going to meet the Pacers in the play-in, eliminate them from the playoffs and then take their lottery pick.

Not only do they have Philly and Phoenix b2b tomorrow and Friday, but they also play in Boston and NY next week.

Miami should be better. Maybe Magic can pick it up and get ahead of them. Bulls are playing better too. Hawks want to tank, Brooklyn sucks and we suck.... thats probably the "fight" for the last play in.

Pascal is even more useless now on the pacers. He just stands around confused on offense. He doesn't hustle at all looks tired or lazy 90% of the time

I don’t think Haliburton has been playing.

Was he ever useless here? We just lost to a G-League team at home and I’m not kidding, we look like a bottom 5 team right now. This is coming from a guy that was actually pretty optimistic about this team. We stink.

We lost to gleauge teams when we had pascal, not much has changed other than actually having a direction which is better than being a crappy team with no direction that makes trades out of desperation to make the play-in.

Also we have a gleague centre and a geezer splitting time starting at center, need to see how this team looks with a healthy purtle.

The Knicks playing much better validates my sentiment that OG is worth the max for his defense like Gobert and his offense is at least average, even though not dynamic.

The Pacers played well when Haliburton had been out, prior to the Siakam trade. This validates my sentiment that Pascal had just been the same player since the Bubble and might have even gotten worse on defense because he was expending energy on offense to get paid. Indiana had great depth and Pascal effed up the flow.

So you're agreeing with the poster? The Raptors were 15-24 with Siakam. You make it seem like we were a winning team before he was traded. Pretty sure these decisions were made because we have been mediocre to bad for the last two seasons.

Pascal hasn't established himself in the pecking order. he's standing in the corner 3 and not getting passes.

He will be best used in the post, there's no other pacer player that can play in the post like siakam

I don't quite know what Carlisle and his assistant that took over after he was tossed were doing with him in that game last night. In the first quarter Siakam was operating out of the high post and sometimes the low post, and was killing it. For the rest of the game they had him stuck in the corner on the opposite side to where Nembhard and Turner were running pick-and-rolls. It seemed like a very odd use of his talents. And perhaps not coincidentally, that's when Denver went on a big run to turn the game around.

Maybe he should be more aggressive, I've heard that suggestion thrown around a whole lot before.

Pacers are 4-7 without Hali this season. They were 7-19 without him last year. He's the driving force of that team and he makes their support players look a lot better than they actually are. Once he's back they should be fine again.

They're on a long road trip and probably haven't had much time to practice. They had the best offense in the NBA before they acquired him so they're probably going to implement him slowly and try to fit him around the others, while picking spots to iso with him. I'm sure they'll figure it out once they have time to gel.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll get better with more practice time and once they get used to each other on the court. I just thought it was weird that they went away from what was working in the first half, and it wasn't even that I saw a big adjustment by Denver's defence. Pascal just came off the bench after the break and basically went straight over to standing in the corner.

The writing was on the wall for this team two years ago, but some of you still thought this was a top team in the east.

2 years ago...during Scotties ROY campaign when Pascal made all nba 3rd team and Fred was an all star and the team won 48 games?
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
