Aside from this entire cluster$%*$...

I will enjoy Doc being able to work the refs. Being at games and watching him work the refs THE ENTIRE GAME from the other side was not so much nauseating that he was doing it all game, but that IT WORKED!

In addition to that, it will be a breath of fresh air to listen to post game pressers again. I always took a little time after most games hearing and/or reading what Bud had to say. Doc's a smart guy and I've always enjoyed hearing his insight.

I stopped listening to Griffin's pressers very early on. It was too depressing to listen to.

I guess.

Barely a soul wanted AG to continue here.

Do you think the enthusiasm is for Doc or is it for Not AG?

Epi shared that there's bad blood between them. Non-starter.

Hi, Clippers fan here.
He is a big time bullshitter. He talks and makes excuses. Not an Xs and Os guy. He is a nepotist, favors certain players and creates issues in the locker room. He is stubborn, sticks with what is not working.
His "credibility" is a PR campaign by him and his buddies in the media.

Bucks want to win an NBA championship, you do not hire a guy who has not reached conference finals in his last 10 playoff seasons. There is a reason his teams fail. You will undoubtly see this. He won a champisonship 16 years ago with the arguably the first superteam in NBA history. That's it. Except for that team, and his early 2000s Magic teams, and arguably 2017-18 Clippers team, every other team he coached, probably 18 out of 24, underachieved.

I assume that Doc is going to reinstate Bud’s defense immediately. That means Giannis and Brook stay in the paint, we don’t pressure non-shooters, and we have our best rebounders in position.

Now that the defense is solved (took me three seconds to fix), he will hopefully put the ball in Dame’s hands and run more pick and roll actions with Giannis.

Epi already alluded to the fact that Stotts and Rivers have some sort of 10 year ongoing fued.

I'm not sure why but if Epi says so, I believe it.

Schematic changes can be made any time. Would it have been better to start in training camp? For sure. But these are pros. I'm more worried about the content of his changes.

I'd try to get Dave Joerger. Helped Doc last year. Perfect fit. I think he works for the Cavs now, so just have him stay in Milwaukee.

We could have had one of the best coaches in the league and instead he went to an immediate rival in our conference. We ended up with a terrible coach just because Giannis wanted him, he did a terrible job and got fired halfway through the season. Now we have another mediocre coach (yes he’s better than Griffin, but it would be almost impossible not to be) who is basically a worse version of Bud with his unwillingness to make adjustments in the playoffs. And hilariously, he’s the guy the Sixers fired in favour of Nurse.

Giannis’ opinion on coaching options should be taken much less into account from now on.
Have you ever worked for someone you don't like? Sucks and rarely leads to top performance.

Again we don't even know if it was a personality thing I'm just saying if it was that's a completely valid reason not to hire Nurse. It's also completely reasonable that Giannis by virtue of being the best god damn player in franchise history would get input.

What has Nurse done that’s so bad that Giannis doesn’t like? There doesn’t seem to be anything about him that makes him dislikable that other coaches don’t have. Like does he whine too much against the refs or something ??? Of course Giannis should have some input on coaching hires. But it shouldn’t be ‘Giannis says no Nurse means no Nurse’.
Who the **** knows what Nurses personality is like, I don't know the dude and I assume you don't either. Reports were that half the Raptors team hated the dude so I'm guessing there's something about his personality that isn't for everyone.

I believe there were 4-5 better options than Doc in summer till Horst $%&@ up and hired Griffin.

Having said that at least the referees and the entire world can finally recognise who is our head coach, dress wise , character wise , fame wise.

Even in his first days-games my evaluation on Grif was spot on ... he didn't even wear a suit to even look like a head coach.

Pretty sad we lost the opportunity to have Stotts as our head coach. He can utilise Dame as good as anyone.

Doc on the other hand @^@%# up with the Clippers and the Sixers imo ... He is not near Spoelstra and other top tier coaches but at least he has experience, even "failing". I hope he has the motive to work really smart and hard to win it all with us.

There is so much on the line for this team. Giannis is knocking on the top 10, Dame gets the validation of a championship, Doc gets to shed a mantle, the owners get to justify their spending, Horst keeps his job. If they don't play like their asses are on fire now, then they truly have no heart and it's time to rebuild/retool.

So much this.

Joerger is a must imo. He's available, is a pretty good coach, he'd be a fantastic add as an assistant.

Outside of him, I actually think every one of Doc's other assistants from his last year in Philly is working somewhere else, with only one of them possibly in a position that he'd leave for the Bucks:

Sam Cassell - Assistant to Mazzulla in Boston
Dan Burke - Assistant to Monty in Detroit
Brian Adams - Assistant to Monty in Detroit
Eric Hughes - Assistant to Kidd in Dallas
Jamie Young - Assistant in college, so he might actually be down to come over

Joerger is a consultant for Cleveland, everyone else is actually on someone else's bench this year. Sam Cassell(Boston), Dan Burke(Detroit), Popeye Jones(Dallas), Eric Hughes(Dallas), Brian Adams(Detroit)

The Doc Celtics team was a lot closer to the Bucks title team than, I dunno, the Heat or the Dubs champions. Walter Ray and PPNot25 were more like Midds and Jrue than like Bosh and Wade or Manu and Kawhi for that matter.

Another reason I trust in Stotts. If he’s not on good terms with two coaches we don’t agree with, and has a positive relationship with one of our superstars, as well as being much better than Griff, it’s a no brainer to me if he was still open to head coaching.

Woj's headline about the Bucks landing the coach they targeted is only half right. Doc landed the gig he wanted as well.

Agree with many, Doc by himself is unappealing BUT it would appear even if he is average and just does like 4 or 5 more sensical things it is a dramatic upgrade.

I don’t like the guy but I think he probably has a lot more credibility than Griff did.
