that superior talent as well as Spoelstra can do with lesser ability players.

It's a Big Issue and will only become worst in the Playoffs.

Dump Mazzulla, if the Celts don't win the Title this season, because they seem to be the most
talented team in the NBA.

Dump Mazzulla and get Doc Rivers, on wait….

This may be the 1st time I defend Joe.. well sort of.. Joe > Doc
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

that's crazy talk, Doc could run circles around amateur hour Joey. Doc had some strong inbound plays to finish games, etc.... When's the last time Joey ran a play to win a game? It's all ISO poop and toss it to JT in the back court and have him sprint to the three point line lol

I disagree, they WERE the celtics toughest opposition.

We added the zone killer.

Miami cannot compete at this point.

Our defense is fantastic on the wing
Out offense is lethal.

These guys live rent free in Boston’s head lately. Spo is just going to create a new 1-1-1-2 zone or some **** that we have have never seen before and Jaime Vasquez turns out to be the new Luka over 7 games.

Apparently Miami guys get some real luck against us lmao

And for Butler, Herro, and Rozier to hit big shots with under two minutes left.

It’s on him not to get passive like he did against Denver, which he admitted after the game. They’ve consistently looked for him late in games, but Denver got him a little flustered in the second half.

Tbf Denver is a really big team and it's hard to find a mismatch.

It's all on them. Primarily Joe and JT, if you ask me. They're running the show, esp late in games.

It is on all of them. But he’s been used quite a bit in crunch time all season, whether the set they run, or him getting the shot. I don’t think they just decided not to go to him that game, he wasn’t able to get to his spots, or wasn’t aggressive enough in doing so.

We'll see. If you let the other team's defense dictate and limit what you can run, you're not really doing your job well enough. Same concept with JT not being able to get touches for long stretches 'cos of great ball denial (or is he not being aggressive enough in those instances too?).

In Nuggets game, I thought they were better at getting the shots they wanted, particularly Murray and Jokic until crunch time when we clamped down.

The “late game troubles” against Denver were overstated IMO, they consistently created good looks, just missed. Tatum, White, Jaylen, all had wide open looks, and they just didn’t drop.

This is ironic since I tease another poster for posting quotes from another site lol. but this guy went back and watched the end of the game. These were the plays

The possessions prior to the final one were:
- Tatum blocked by the rim on a shot he makes > 90% of the time
- wide, wide open Horford pick-and-pop 3
- uncontested FT-line fadeaway for Tatum
- Jaylen gets fouled, misses both FTs
- open Jaylen 3 off the OReb, missed
- open DWhite 3 off another OReb, missed
- Tatum dunk
- open DWhite corner 3, missed
- KP called for loose ball foul on rebound
- Tatum missed transition layup

It was just a missing shot issue more than anything. I’d have liked to use KP more, but it’s not something I worry about, since they’ve consistently used him as part of their go-to late game sets.

It's a nice idea in a vacuum to be able to dictate what you do on offense but the reality is the other team has two 6'10 forwards and a 7' center and there's nothing you can run that'll make them smaller.

Heat fans on the GB seem to be in the camp of "we're not worried about the Celtics because Heat Culture and Kristaps Porzingis will break in half before the postseason."

I don’t blame Heat fans, just like I don’t blame Celtics fans who aren’t as worried about the Heat because of the new roster. The Heat FEASTED on forcing non shooters to beat them, and they weren’t phased by switching Bam onto Tatum, because who was going to beat the mismatch on the other side?

We will absolutely need KP to beat the Heat, but I think people are forgetting the level of fluke Vincent and Martin’s shooting in that series was. Brogdon was too injured to be a factor, and Jaylen just never got comfortable against them.

I think we’d beat them in 5 or 6 if we have KP, and that’s only because I respect Spo as much as I do.

5 games if we take a game off.

This team is different this year.

Miami is 2 tiers below.

I think this is a bit too far lol, but I’m not going to knock anyone.
