Gotta improve the rotations and transition D though. And get Quickley more shots off movement.

I have no issues with Darko either. I think with all the changes in the last few weeks the team really hasn't had time to have a full practice. These couple of days will be good for the team to regroup and essentially start over. Darko said in his post practice interview that IQ didn't know all of the terminology and was pretty much playing on what he knew as a basketball player. They're doing session with IQ and Scottie, with RJ and Scottie to help them get more familiar with each other. It's going to be a process.

I should add I wasn't mocking Darko's charitable gesture or being cynical. Just a light hearted joke.

Just wanted to say for the past year our family owed (not monetary) SickKids a lot. I used to think that our local hospital would be more than enough, but after a few experiences with the local walk-in clinic (affiliated with the hospital) and the actual emergency staff, they're just not experienced enough to deal with kids as they mainly deal with adult population (so not blaming them for the experience). My, at the time 19 month old daughter, she was poked 4 times in total to finally get a blood sample including calling their NICU nurse, and I don't even want to disgust you all what she had to go through just to get urine sample. Again, just to reiterate, not blaming them for any of these experiences, I'm sure they're extremely amazing staff doing their best already!

I finally had to go to SickKids for the next time when my daughter's condition worsen, and it was such a night and day difference. They used an ultrasound machine to find the exact position on where to draw blood, had a way better urine bag than the invasive way the other hospital ended up using to collect urine, lots of communication as they're aware the parents are they one that's more nervous on what's happening, the IV site was well protected with a shield so my daughter would not try to yank it out, and lastly, even the lab tech who draws blood every morning (not sure what their title is, but not nurses), almost never had to attempt a 2nd time drawing blood from my daughter.

My daughter's condition is not something that's life threatening for the time being, but when she was there for the week, walking around you would see kids with a chest tube coming out of the chest, kids in wheelchair just getting fresh air, and kids with stitches on the back of their shaved head, etc. As parents we would walk by and just acknowledge each other nodding our head, because we all know that we are not there to see Mickey Mouse.

Anyhow, was a tough year as we end up going to SickKids for appointments more than we actually went to work for the first half of last year, but I did vouch I would also give back once everything is back on track, and really appreciate someone like Darko and everyone else who does donate to SickKids.

Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable. I hope your daughter and family are okay. That must have been scary to go through. All the best.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
