Damn, I wish Jokic had strongarmed the Nuggets into signing his goofy as brothers as players.

They even have good role players in Wiggins and Kenrich Williams. I don't think they'll get by Denver this year, but they're definitely headed to the Finals very soon. Just loaded with talented players. They tanked the right way and it really didn't take them long to get back to the top.

No doubt, and it's obviously all about drafting well and accumulating assets. And being left the hell alone by the POS Silver and his henchmen.

I loved Hinkie and was a big Process believer, and aside from Okafor, an awful pick even at the time, he drafted brilliantly for the most part and created a stockpile of assets. We'll never know what might have been had the NBA kept their noses out of our business. Would Jerami Grant have been allowed to develop here? Would Ben Simmons have even been picked? Hinkie sure as hell wouldn't have allowed Ainge to fleece him like he did Colangelo. Would a clown like Glenn been hired here? We'll never know, but we just might have been OKC before OKC.

I'm wondering the same about OKC as far as their players getting the chance to develop. You have to think at some point they're going to have to either pay some guys or move them. Jalen Williams to me is going to be one of the best in the game if he ever gets the keys to his own team. The guy is prime James Harden all over again. I know that's a bold statement, but he's just effortlessly great out there. Cason Wallace would start on a lot of teams already. Josh Giddey is solid but doesn't fit there. Holmgren will be a top 3 big man for years to come if he stays healthy. I see Kevin Mchale/Garnett all over with that guy. It's good to be an OKC fan right now.

I know we had our shot at this. I can't cry anymore over the loss of having Tatum and Bridges on the same roster with Embiid. Or SGA for that matter. I love our team, but Morey has to keep things as youthful as he can if we're to sustain contender status. We hit on Maxey, it'd be nice to hit on another draft pick like that and have that player turn a corner the way Williams has for OKC. It's why I'm a big fan of always trying to trade up in the draft. The value of first round draft picks especially, is priceless. It keeps the team moving forward towards the future. It's why I don't want to just trade them for Dorian Finney-Smith or Alex Caruso. Believe me, Caruso would be great here, but Chicago wants too much for him.

As for Okafor...Yeah, that was a big miss. I wanted him badly to work here for us, but his rebounding and defense was atrocious. The championship game where coach K pulled him due to him being a liability on the floor against Wisconsin should have been a dead giveaway, but a lot of us ignored it. I believe Russell would have been the pick had the Lakers not taken him. That's not saying much either.

The difference with OKC is they had a good team they willingly broke up and got tons of assets for (even after they traded PG and Westbrook they were still a playoff team the Paul year) whereas we were screwed by the Bynum trade and Hinkie basically had to engage in dark arts to ensure we didn’t become what the Pistons or Hornets have been for a decade.

OKC is probably more comparable to Boston.

Wait, is that real? Giannis is like a mob boss. People give LeBron **** for LeGM stuff, but Giannis just removed his coach for being correct? His brother has no business being in the league and taking up a roster spot.

Hahaha no bro its just some joke

The Pau George trade was also a once in a generation piece of leverage handed to Presti on a silver platter. OKC should buy Kawhi a Rolex every year for Christmas as a thank you gift for that.

Random, but I had this episode playing in the background the other day and laughed so I didn’t cry.

Wiretap saying that Simmons could return as soon as Monday. On a scale between 98 and 100, what are the % chances that Brooklyn's trying desperately to salvage some trade value?

Is Ben Simmons one of the influencers squatting in that house on LeBron's street?

Steph Curry is such a smart player, but you wouldn't know it if you just watched his sloppy ball handling and passing

I actually forgot Markelle Fultz existed for a couple of years. I came across a tiktok about his draft, so I decided to check the magic board to see if they had a thread on him.

They are still 7 years later, discussing his TOS diagnosis and the fact he refuses to shoot 3's. I feel bad for them, actually.

Apparently, his contract is up this year. I wonder if he will be out of the league.

I don't think he'll be out of the league. He's a decent point guard if you take away his draft status. He's just not going to get paid a ton of money. He'll survive on one year deals the way Oubre is right now. If he stays healthy which he hasn't, he'll have a Corey Joseph type role in the league. Hell, Frank Ntiklina is still in the league and he's worse than Fultz. It's a shame with him though. We all wanted him to be our Curry/Harden.

What a great draft pick Jabari Walker was for the Blazers. Guy who has a knack for rebounding at a high level. He's clearly figuring out how to be a stretch 4 in the league. The Blazers will be able to sell Grant whenever for a ton of assets and they'll easily replace him.

Luka and Booker dropping around 40pts in the first half tonight. I wonder how many pts they’ll end up with

70 and 60 right now with a couple of minutes left. Both games are very competitive as well, so the scoring was done in the flow of the games.

Some of those shots Luka is making is ridiculous. I like how he’s being compared to Magic Johnson in terms of entertainment level. Such a joy to watch him play.

Most pts since Kobe’s 81. 70 is the new 50.
