Doc going to be gifted another stacked team?
I genuinely think he is overrated as a coach.

Re: Around the NBA 12
So the Wizards fired their head coach, the son of the legend Wes Unseld. After 2-1/2 seasons, his name wasn’t enough.
When will the Hornets new owners decide they’ve had enough of Clifford? House cleaning can be quite the chore.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: Around the NBA 12
Would be astonished if Clifford was gone before the season ended, final year of his three year deal seems to be a team option, so at that point he would be off the books.

They didn't actually fire him, they moved him into the front office.

Also it's just a totally different situation. It doesn't make sense to move Clifford until the FO situation is sorted out.

Terry with a rough debut. 3-10 shooting in a 30pt loss to Boston.

He came off the bench in their loss to the Grizzlies...went 3-11.

Re: Around the NBA 12
We had too many great young players on the roster like Bouk, Thor, Kai Jones, and the backless wonder Mark Williams
Your Charlotte Hornets! We’ll eventually get something right;right?

I could be crazy, but I am pretty sure 75% of the board preferred Mark Williams to Duren at the time of the draft.

Re: Around the NBA 12
Which group would you rather have?
Team We Drafted:
Melo, Mark, Miller, Miles.
Or Team We Drafted... and then traded:
SGA, Duran, Tobias Harris (let's pretend this is prime Harris).

Re: Around the NBA 12
Man the Tobias Harris trade is a wild series.
We traded Crash for the pick initially (19) plus a bunch of stuff. Then we reflipped 19 to Milwaukee with Capt. Jack for the 7th pick and Maggette. Both of these deals went down within 4 months of each other, deadline deal and draft night deal.

Re: Around the NBA 12
Yeah, also we can do this for rumored trades that we never made like...
2 firsts for Poeltl, 2 firsts for Nicola Vucevic, Miles and #3 (LaMelo) to move up to take Wiseman. Ayton to Hornets.
Other deal that seemed very close to happening Marc Gasol to Charlotte for a future first rounder, went to Toronto instead. 1000 Rudy Gay trades. Felt like maybe Jose Calderon was another fav to send to hornets a billion times.

yeah i don't get acting like Mark hasn't also had a 20/20 game in his career. He's been amazing when he's been on the court, I'd argue almost as important as LaMelo to team success at this point.
I'm just beyond frustrated that we've found our two-way center we've been trying to get since Zo was traded almost 30 years ago, and now he has a mysterious months long back injury, and might or might not be damaged goods.
investigate Adam Silver

Duran has injury issues too.
Us drafting him cursed him. Even if he isn't on the team.

Re: Around the NBA 12
Duren and Mark are basically the same archetype of center though. Shot blocker, rim runner, rebounder. Taking both of them made no sense. Now if there was ever a shred of chance that they could play together or they brought different skill sets then yeah maybe you look at snagging both but it would have made very little sense at the time.

Re: Around the NBA 12
hedging my bets that one of them because all-star level, trade the other...
or run 28min/20min with 48 of coverage... better version upside to mark/nick combo
ideally mark/duren is backed up by a floor spacer
