LeBron quit? When? This is news to me.

Yes!
Were you around during his Cavs Celtics series? 2010 Game 5? It was well acknowledged by
pretty much everyone at the time, but if you're young, maybe you didn't experience it.

LeBron always quits on his team when they aren’t good anymore. Leaving as soon as a team isn't in championship position = quitting, anyway, but there are on court examples as well.

There are quite a few of these but here's another, from a huge Lebron fan (so you know he's objectively analyzing)

Eddie House (teammate) also stated that he quit in 2011, but we don't know.

The one where he went 3-14? You think that's a game where he quit? Did you even watch the game?

;ab_channel=Dom2k

Since you want to use youtubers to make your arguments for you.

But that's besides the point, because that isn't even the worst thing you said here. How am I supposed to take what you have to say seriously...

Leaving as soon as a team isn't in championship position = quitting

...when you post stupid **** like this? First off, LeBron literally never once did this. Second and more importantly, do you not know what quitting means? Leaving a team after your contract expires and going to another team isn't quitting. How old are you exactly? This is basic stuff every fully functioning adult should know.

P.S. If you want to have the last word feel free to, because I know us having a back and forth is going to ruin the thread. But at some point you'll have to let your hate boner for LeBron go and make some actual objective posts about him. I don't know if you're capable of doing so, but stranger things have happened.

Try to use emotional maturity when you post and stay in control of your disposition. It's just a basketball forum. The frontal lobe isn't fully developed in men until age 25, so I sure hope for the sake of yourself that you're younger than that (it's typical in high schoolers). Otherwise, that's something you'll need to work on.

You're in the minority if you believe Lebron didn't quit. Yes, I watched and was even rooting for him at the time.
I also lived in Cleveland. That was one of many decisions that did make me hate him as a basketball player- I have no problem admitting that I hate the guy and believe that he's been terrible for certain aspects of the sport. If you lead the league, then don't flop and don't encourage players to team up. It's supposed to be competitive.

The Celtics incident also made two of my friends turn on him, as it should.

Then Lebron formed a superteam on TV and said "not 6, not 7, not 8" championships before playing a game. Go ahead and tell me how that's not quitting... I'd love to hear it. You're kidding yourself if you deny it and if there was a vote, yours would certainly be voted the more ignorant opinion in this discussion.

Now as for your retort.... If you're that upset, try taking deep breaths before typing. But acting like this is a wrong and it's a "**** *** ***" (whatever you typed) opinion is a hot take in itself.

Keep in mind that when you do reply disrespectfully like this, here's how I read the post - "I'm angry because your post is convincing. I've got nothing worth saying so I'm going to insult you instead." Insults in discussion are usually a defense mechanism because someone is unsure what to say.

And so far, this is true about you.

And that's why, usually, I don't reply to these types of posts. It's end of discussion as far as I'm concerned, unless you have something meaningful to contribute. I'll read if you do.

Remember that everything you type is on the web for a long time and you never know what job you may have one day. I wish I realized that years ago.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Too add to this what if.... LeBron Wade and Bosh all visited Chicago together, and while it seems it was already predetermined that Miami was the destination, What If they chose the Bulls?

Lineup is

Rose
Wade
LeBron
Bosh
Noah

6th man is Loul Deng

They still get to draft Jimmy Butler too FWIW to add later.

Maybe Rose doesn't destroy his knee but obviously is never a MVP canidate, also likely leaves or someone does because of salary issues but for a couple years just absolutely insane how that team would have been. Deeper than the Heatles, and then they get Jimmy on a rookie contract? Yup killer.

So Noah and Rose never develop into MVP candidates (Noah actually got MVP votes like what?)

It also likely changes the GOAT argument a lot by actually winning in the House that Jordan Built.

What if the Mavs chose to re-sign Steve Nash? Same question but with Tyson Chandler? And again with Jalen Brunson?

What if David Thompson never tried cocaine?
What if the Kardashians didn't exist?
What if Cuban listened to Donnie Nelson and drafted Giannis?
What if Shaq stayed in Orlando?

What if the Warriors drafted Franz Wagner (#8 pick) and Alperun Sengun (#16 pick) instead of Kuminga (#7 pick) and Moody (#14 pick) in the 2021 NBA draft.

Even after selecting Wiseman with the #2 pick in the 2020 NBA draft and passing on LaMelo Ball (#3 pick) and Tyrese Halliburton (#12 pick) the Warriors STILL had another chance the next year to make some great draft choices and STILL screwed up AGAIN.

Yikes!

What if T-Mac re-signed with the Raptors and he and Vince played together in their primes. I still think the mess that was the Raptors organization at that time would have screwed things up but their talent and play styles were great theoretically for playing with one another & team ball in general.

I have always said this.

Imagine Joker, Embiid, Giannis, Middleton, Brogdon

Some say it wouldn't work, in today's position-less NBA it would have worked and it would have been fantastic. This team would have won 5 titles at least by now if everyone stays together and healthy.

What if Shaq never left the Lakers
What if Jordans push off was called an offensive foul
What if the Lakers were fully healthy against the Bulls in the 91 finals
What if the Lakers didnt choke the 3-1 lead vs the Suns
What if the Lakers beat the Garnet-Pierce-Ray Celtics and then went on to three peat
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

magee wrote:Seeing the post about Dream and Joel Embiid while thinking about what Hakeem would do in the offense Embiid has got me thinking about the "What If" series on Disney+ for Marvel.

We all have our own "what if's" we debate about, between player injuries, trades, drafts, coaches, etc. I have a couple "What If's" that, in the Multiverse of the NBA, would be interesting to talk about. Since we always compared players and generations and whatnot.

Episode 1: "What If- Len Bias Never Passed Away"
Episode 2: "What If- Michael Jordan Never Retired in the 90's"
Episode 3: "What If- Grant Hill Never Got Injured"
Episode 4: "What If- David Stern OK'd the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers"
Episode 5: "What If- Arvydas Sabonis came to the NBA right away"
Episode 6: "What If- The Warriors drafted Tyrese Halliburton instead of James Wiseman"

What are some other "What If" episodes you can think of?

Oooh, since Disney "owns" the NBA anyway, this really won't be a bad animated series. Get those creators of that Game of Thrones/NBA parodies but this time in the Marvel universe. i like it.

Do the Lakers still become a dynasty or even win one ring
Does Kobe even win one ring

I would like to answer some of these what ifs. If the nets get Kobe, do they still get to ripoff the suns for the marbury man & get kidd? The Nets backcourt would be sick & might be able to get 1 ring at least.

Some of these what ifs now has to do with 1985.
What if Bernard King didn't get the injury with 12 games left? I checked their stats & the knicks lost some of those close 12 games left.

If the Knicks don't get Ewing, what if the Hawks get Ewing instead of Jon Kontract? Do they finally get past the 2nd round with Wilkins & face Jordan in the ECF in 1991? I wanted that matchup that year badly.

What if the Kings get Ewing in 1985? They were already on their way to Sacramento, do they make an impact with Ewing, Thorpe, Theus, & Eddie Johnson?

What if the mavericks didn't lie to Karl Malone & drafted him instead of Schrempf? Does Aguirre get his attitude together & not get traded?

What if the 2002 WCFs wasn't refs screw jobs on the Kings (vs the Lakers)? What if Peja hit the game winning wide open corner 3 late in Game 7? What if the Kings hit their FTs in game 7?
The very following season in 2003, What if Chris Webber didn't blow out his knee in the 2nd round vs the Mavs?
2004, What if Webber hit the game winning 3 against the TWolves in 2nd Round, Game 7?

The Sacramento Kings could have won a title or 3 (2002, 2003,2004). Potential 2-peat, 3-peat.

To me, the answer to these NBA sliding doors moments is always the Anthony Carter missed contract deadline: LINK

It's just such a little thing that then led directly to a championship:

With the new room, the Heat signed Lamar Odom to a six-year, $65 million agreement as a restricted free agent contract that the Los Angeles Clippers deemed too dear. Behind Wade and Odom, the team went on to make the playoffs that year. Odom, Grant and Butler were later used in the trade package needed to deal for Shaquille O’Neal, who worked with Wade to bring Miami its first championship in 2006.

As a Suns fan,

What if the coin flip went out way?
What if Paxson and Ellie missed their threes?
What if Joe Johnson doesn't break his face? And what would that mean for Sarver not cheaping out on JJ?
What if Donaghy didn't happen?
What if the suspensions didn't happen?

Just some off the top of my head with our history

Ive heard this theory a lot but i dont really believe it. The trade would have been different. Steph and Monta had different salaries. There was never the same trade, but with Steph instead of Monta. Given that, we dont know what it would have been, so its difficult to judge.

The Len Bias question is always the biggest for me. Would the Celtics have extended their dominance into the 90s had he panned out to be as great as expected? Would the Pistons even get over the hump? Does it takes longer for the bulls to start their reign?

What if Kawhi stayed with Toronto and defended his title...

The following year was in the bubble. I dont see how they don't repeat as they would have clearly been the best team...who knows how history unfolds past then but winning back to back titles definitely would have changed his legacy. The Clippers have basically been a retirement home for Kawhi
