Raps/OKC
Raps Trade:
Bruce Brown Jr
Otto Porter Jr
To OKC for
Davis Bertans
Josh Giddey
Tre mann
Why for Toronto?
Young players with potential. Bertans is just salary filler but I wouldn't mind seeing how the team looks with him as a stretch big.
Poetl/Bertans
Barnes/Boucher
Giddy/Gtjr
Barret/Mann
Quickley/Schroder
Why for OKC?
They add 2 serviceable players that have won championships.
Bruce Brown has shown he is a legit 4th option on a championship team and is a current upgrade of Giddey. OPjr has looked very good in limited minutes with the Raps and gives OKC a big wing defender who can shoot the 3.
Chet/k.Willaims
J.Williams/Wiggins
Dort/OPjr
Brown Jr/Joe
SGA/Wallace/Micic

Re: Raps/OKC
If OKC trades Giddey and Dieng in a deal it'd be to aim for a much bigger fish. this isn't close for them

I edited the OP.
Giddey for Brown base has no legs? Seems like a good base for a trade for both teams. Toronto it might be bit redundant since we have a lot of ball handlers but for OKC Brown is close to the exact player that would want (imo anyways)

Lots of Raps fans wanted him to start prior to the Pascal trade because the team was so much better with him in the floor. He is serviceable, he's been very good this year and last year when he was healthy. The problem is the raps have no reason to play him because it was their most stacked position and they wanted to give the younger guys more run. Now it's a pure youth movement.

Re: Raps/OKC
Giddey isnt being moved for this type of return. Even if his development is stagnating, even with the off court stuff.
Also not sure why OKC needs another G when they have SGA, Cason, Micic, Wiggins, Joe, Lou and Jalen all capable of playing the 1 and/or 2.

Re: Raps/OKC
Brown can’t be aggregated with another player.
Agree with posters who say OKC wouldn’t move Giddey for this. Also unsure how to value him though. He’s got a year left on his rookie deal but then what? I guess he probably gets a deal north of 25 mil at least. Are the accusations past him or that still looming to some extent? Not the biggest fan of players who need the ball to be effective but can’t shoot.

Re: Raps/OKC
Raps should just aim for pick(s). OKC is trying to add pieces not rotate pieces of similar/equal value(current, not potential).

I like Brown to OkC but not for Giddey. Brown for Bertans + a 1st makes some sense.

There’s a Bruce Brown trade to OKC, but it’s not Giddey.

Re: Raps/OKC
I really like Brown but OKC should be looking for Forwards or a backup C.
They might have the best guard depth in the league right now - just dont see trading for Brown as a smart use of assets.

You can still make this a legal trade by making it two trades. Brown <--> Bertans, Mann as one trade, and OPJ <--> Giddey as a second trade. Both work.

You and most of the OKC fans .
He’s an improvement over some of them obviously but the clearer need is in the front court.
Chet will hit the rookie wall sooner or later and he was out whole of least season so need someone to absorb some minutes there.

I think if that's a 2025 1st, Toronto says yes.
