He's been a positive in +/- for every game as a Knick for a whopping +240 in 13 games, simply incredible impact he's had on that team. Seeing how terrible we are defensively now without him, people probably realize now how special of a defender he is.

happy for OG
the impact was always more than stats
he's truly a force defensively and it's creating waves on a NY team that's talented

26/13/10, 70% from the field for Pascal who was +30 on the night without Hali against the Sixers.
But some folks here were adamant he couldn’t play against size. Meanwhile half the fanbase has delusions that RJ is a future star…
I might never forgive Masai for not building g a team around OG and Siakam.

In the Raps vs 76ers series from a couple series ago, he was the best player on the floor for a large portion of that series. I'm not upset that we traded him, the problem is the return was very, very poor.

Thibs has
Brunson
DiVin
OG
Randle
Sims ....thinking they can do something
Hard to believe we just couldn't do anything with
OG
Scottie
Pascal
Jak
Denis...12-19...hard to believe
Raps had a special core but Masai failed to add the right pieces to it. In his post Pascal trade speech he said how much he believed in the group, which sounds nice. But he did a terrible job of adding to it.
Believing in OG, Pascal and FVV wasn't the mistake. They've all proven to be really good players that impact winning. He just never put the right pieces around to help them succeed. We've been begging for more outside shooting for years and it took losing all of them before Masai finally decides to start making shooting be a priority.

The fact that I’m cheering for the Knicks is the worst part of this whole thing. I fkn hate the Knicks.

1st Team All Defense is a lock pretty much now for him. He should have a good chance at DPOY too if he manages to even come close to sustaining the impact he's had there.

His on court +/- is going to end up like +1000 for the Knicks this year.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

I don't miss OG or Siakam at all....it was time to move on to another chapter.
Yes they will look good on other teams, that's why OG was in the 40m/yr conversation and that's why Siakam is likely getting a 5yr/240m max contract....they're getting paid big money for a reason.

OG going from not even on a all defense team when we were the 2nd best defense in 2019-20 to immediately dpoy candidate 13 games in NYC is an elite lvl of bias but I'm happy for him

Apparently, Siakam didn't fit our timeline with Scottie. He seems to be doing just fine with the Pacers and Haliburton...

As if we didn't have Nurse, Siakam, FVV, OG, and Barnes last year and were a .500 team.
They had their chance and were not good enough

It’s so embarrassing reading these posts lol. Like hello, these guys were on our team a month ago and we went 3-10 in December.
Paying Siakam a max makes sense when you have quality depth at a cheap price with a player that’s much better than him as the first option.
Paying OG near $40M makes sense when you have 2 guys on the roster that can average 30 on any given night.
You know what doesn’t make sense ? Being a luxury tax team when you’re 7-10 games under .500. It’s really that simple man lol.

Posters are always so attach to former players/coaches. They would trash them when they were in team but love them when they are traded.
