The OG trade was sweet payback for the Bargnani fleece of yesteryear

Knicks respect is growing.

Low-key it should be 13-0. I think someone in the front office had a talk with Thibs, because right after the concerns of 40 minute nights in a back to back, the next two games he actually gives the bench a chance to soak up minutes and keep the starters fresh.

Good job Thibs.

Great win against defending champs.. complete thrashing.
OG showing some offensive repertoire.
Good to see Grimes stepping up.. I believe he can be the missing link.
Jokic is Brunson of big men.. nothing fancy truly efficient.
Let's stomp the Heat.

his best game as a Knick was 2-3 games ago. never seen his dribble:pass ratio has skewed as that game.

too bad he can be a bipolar maniac on the court and he doesn't care about defense.

It's not a coincidence we just played our best game since Randle has been a Knick when he was just another part of the offense rather than its focus. This was one of my very favorites nights from Randle since he got here, because he played within the team's flow and got his licks in without altering our ball motion attack. This is how Randle would and should appear on a top team. He cannot be our focus, but he can help us win by playing like he did tonight.

Now we can see what happens when a player like OG asserts themselves. Clearly, our two best players are OG and Brunson. Randle is better as their Robin so it's good for the team and it's good for Randle when the spotlight shines on him a bit less.

He led the team in assists with 8, most of these were to 3 point makes, not uncommon that he does damage with his passing sometimes even more than his own scoring, he wasn’t featured any less than usual though. OG was extra aggressive especially when staggered with the bench which is when I think he will be looking for his own shots more

The game completely messes up my theory that we need I-Hart or Mitch playing to be good.

If I told you all a story, one about a coach that played his overachieving back up center so many minutes because of the starter's injury that he hobbled that back up, too. The crucial player was going to have to miss a few games with end of the bench players to fill in.

The first game these Knicks eke out a victory against a reeling Nets team but they won't get much of a chance to gain their footing with the third and fourth string centers against weaker competition. The next game is against the defending champs in the Nuggets with their MVP caliber center to contend with.

So in comes one of the top western teams on a 3 game road winning streak also winners of 5 of the previous 6 to visit MSG to test the new Knicks. The game is a blowout, a 38 point drubbing that garbage time seemed to start in the opening moments of the final quarter.

Oh wait...hmmm...it seems I've left out a small detail that might turn this story in two completely different ways, yea, I'll have to remember to go back and edit it to include that important information. Wouldn't want the reader to miss the plot, no wouldn't want that.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Oh, we definitely need them, especially when 1 or more players have the inevitable bad night at some point.

Imagine our guys playing the way they do. Then add on top of that the defense of Mitch and iHart. The league won't be ready for us.

This kind of rhetorics make them snubbed for all stars and mvps. They are both extremely fancy, just not the type of fancy LeBron and Curry turned nba into.

You are telling me you ain't enjoying the footwork, the euro, the perfect floaters, the swishing of the three they both have? Or the sombor shuffle and Brunson perfect fadeaways?

I enjoy watching these two way more than Lillard, KAT or Embiid.

Averaging 8 per game (team wise) with OG heading into tonight

I meant specifically to OG. Brunson has found him in the corners a lot when the defense is collapsing.

It’s starting to remind of another midseason trade where an offensive dynamo was given a perfect compliment as a release valve, maximizing the player traded for & the offensive dynamo.

Hint - it’s the starting big men we played tonight.
