poll: who / what gets traded

Post#1 » by drsd » Fri Jan 26, 2024 2:25 pm

This vote is open to as many choices as you like. You do not need to click "most likely". It is an all-everything vote.

Lumping as there can only be 10 choice-selections.

I see us offloading picks for a future date and that is it while we "analyze" the current roster.

I consider Okeke as part of that. I see him dealt for a potential 2nd somewhere into cash considerations. It opens up a Jett Howard sized hole on the bench for him to sit in.

As much as we love Fultz and Isaac as stories and even on the floor, I'm not sure we can continue to rely on guys who miss 40-60% of every season or are stuck on minute restrictions forever. You probably have to do it if we can get reasonable assets for them. I also included Okeke for obvious reasons and then 1sts (especially next year which is supposedly a down year). At this point we don't need more 19-21 year olds, so turning a first or two into a 25-28 year old known product is probably the way to go.

Where is the ‘No One’ option?

That's a bold prediction. Weltman has made a deadline move every season so far.

If I’m not mistaken, he has been a seller in all deals except his Fultz reclamation project. I’m not sure we have anything worth selling at this point that we wouldn’t want to keep around. You’d then be betting on Weltman being a buyer… that, IMO, is a bold prediction.

Hmmm, true... Fultz might really be his only buy. Good lord

The only players Im open to keeping are Paolo, Franz, Suggs and Isaac. Everyone else can kick rocks.

Maybe keep Moe just to please Franz

A not-bold prediction: Isaac will not be in Magic blue next opening night.

I agree, but i wouldnt oppose trading Suggs in a package for someone like Mikal Bridges. I would also not trade JI becouse his value is so low in contrast to his impact when he is healthy.

Depending on the incoming, to my view everyone should be in consideration, including our Big 2.

Ideally you keep Franz, Paolo and Suggs, if you can find complementary players. But if you need to pivot like Indiana/Sacramento did to get a better team balance, so be it.

You have to trust your FO to be comfortable with trading Paolo or Franz, that's where i start getting nervous.

I mean....

I would do it to get Luka Fkn Doncic or Shai Gilgeous Alexander

But if we're talking truly possible trades then no I wouldn't put them on the table.

I'd make every asset available besides Banchero and Franz

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

If Carter and Fultz continue to have positive plus/minus boxscores, I think no one gets traded.

Boy do the Magic need shooting. Sad.

Fultz attemped 3 three point shots this season ?
Nevermind, he'll say he will work hard on his outside shot in offseason and everybody will be ready to jump allstar bandwagon.

No way is Franz or Paolo even in the discussion you're crazy, i bet we hangup if they're even mentioned. There's literally no one those guys could be traded for as they're both on cheap rookie contracts playing as borderline All-stars.

Interesting that the media has G-Harris as "most likely to be traded".

For me, Orlando will easily want to add Okeke to any deal, if simply to create a roster sport for Queen (allowing McClung to go two-way).

And Fultz clearly is being shopped hard. G-Harris, not so much.

I guess anything is possible, but I am kind of expecting G-Harris to be a Magician on 9-Feb.
