I've always wondered why Bell didn't 'stick' in the league the first time? Was it just opportunity? or was there something else that I just don't see?....

I remember he was with the Warriors and I found the following on google questions.
The Warriors let Bell walk after two seasons largely because his contributions, on and off the court, were not commensurate with the maintenance he required. He wasn't ready to be an NBA professional, and his immaturity led to issues requiring discipline.

Yeah. He’s a guy who had to get waived to kind of get his head on straight and re dedicate himself. The other part is that his being ignored by nba teams also kind of coincided with the push for as many big men as possible to be able to stretch the floor, and he kind of got pushed away.

I remember when they drafted him, everyone said they just picked up Draymond Green v2.0.

Thanks guys,... =} I guess it just goes to show, that a player can have all the athletic talent in the world, and the stats to go along with it, but things we can't really see in most of the analysis,.. maturity and character can make or break a career. Here' 1 hoping that he's grown since then, and maybe ready to make the most of a second chance?.....
Just one more reason I really hope that Silver is never able to re-open the draft to 18 year olds. G-League = yes; NBA = no.

I have the feeling that Bell and Elfrid are just here to help depth wise with the Mad Ants squad. They feel like strong G league players needed to give the current youth a better all around competitive squad for the young players to play as a winning team until they are ready to play with the big club.
I think if Bell or Elfrid make a move to the NBA again it won’t be with the Pacers. I’m guessing these two have no interest in going abroad.

Doesn't the G League end before the NBA? If we still have an open roster spot, we could add Elfrid.

Mad Ants regular season ends March 31 this year, with playoffs immediately after. The Pacers wrap up April 14th. If the Mad Ants make a deep run, it’s likely they don’t end up before the nba playoffs start.
