Just led the Pacers to wins over the Sixers and suns without Hali and has put on huge performances with style and flair. Scottie will never reach his level. And don't worry, I'll keep bringing this up for the next 4-5 years as Pascal continues to be All NBA

by next season 45 million will be the standard. at some point raptors are going to have to pay for a leader who will have second round exits or worse

Maybe Siakam should have tried on both ends of the court for us the last few year. Maybe would have gotten more wins.

have you been watching this team for the last couple of seasons? We're here to try to make the team better not see how individual players put up stats while we go nowhere
That’s what players are doing now. Putting up stats while not coming close to winning. That is literally the definition of stat padding. Two years ago we won 48 games and last year we were a .500 team. Right now we stink. lol.

Fans like you is why we are going to suck for a long long time, before the more sensible ones learn to ignore this sort of drivel. Enjoy your change (self deleting the last word).

You can bring it up as often as you like. If you're a fan of the Raptors, you should want Barnes to excel because your boy Masai has now tied the immediate future of this team on his shoulders.
None of us fellow fans are to blame for the team trading your favourite player(s).

I just think that if you could not see that Pascal was a net positive and a one in a generation talent, then why are you even following this game? How much better can we get, if we could not recognize someone like Pascal?
Wanting one player to do well, Barnes, while dumping all your high tier talent is not exactly a winning strategy. I just don't think Barnes is that player. I don't think he has the mental make up, nor the talent to carry a team on his back.... Pascal actually had that talent, OG had top 3 in the league specific talent. Barnes is not even that well known outside of Toronto... lots of fanbois jumped on his band wagon and are scratching everyone that plays better than him. As if that is the best way to teach a young player. If he can't shine himself, getting rid of more talented players than himself is only going to make him look good in comparison to mediocrity.
Barnes wasn't ready to step up when we had OG and Pascal and Poltl healthy, what makes you guys think he will be ready in 3 years?

I just love the diversity part. I can only imagine how comforting it must be to be able to get those African snacks you loved in Cameroon growing up, or a dish made just the same way at a restaurant. Hearing him speak about the bubble was tough, and just wanting to bring a 2nd title here. I'm sure the whole team felt that after Kawai left. Truth is they were actually good enough (with Kawai I think we repeat for sure in the bubble)
The jersey part also
Gave my Feb 14 game to a friend, might have to offer some interest to get them back
He is so right the diversity of Toronto and by extension Canada is what makes it so special. Ibaka saw that too. Toronto has some real problems like finding homes for people but nice that one great Toronto resident found his home. What a run 2019 was. He clearly was the number 2 in all of that.

Willingly signing up yourself for 4-5 years of misery is certainly ....a choice.

Pascal wasn't traded because management thought he sucked , he was traded because the team stagnated and was going nowhere. He was due for a max extension and it made no sense commiting 200m+ in that situation. Similar to how Utah traded Mitchell and Gobert which everyone agrees was the right move.
No need to sh*t on a legit talented young player that is on the shortlist for the Olympic team and already all-star caliber in his 3rd year just cause a fan favorite was traded. Saying Scottie is not that well known outside Toronto is just bizzare...this is a guy that started outshining his veteran teammates almost right away when it came to national media (deservedly or not).
Remember how much Pascal improved after his 3rd year when he was a couple years older than Scottie's age now? Would Scottie improving the same way be that unexpected, especially when he starting from a higher floor?

I wonder how many would prefer a current team of:
Dame + Siakam + OG + Jak

Gross. That team wins 45-48 games and gets knocked out in the first or second round. And their window to get better would be extremely short due to Dame's age.
