Basically, the Hawks just don't want DLo and would prefer sweetener and expiring it sounds like. Which is why we are in the mix because we have a bunch of expiring now. The question is, do we value DLo who has a PO next year that is probably picked up. He is only 27 and brings some shooting, playmaking to fill the void Terry just left. I would assume the plan would be to reflip DLo later as an expiring which is probably better than his value now because at 19 million next year its just pretty meh for most teams it seems.

I don't really have a good feel on what DLo is expected to net but I would be surprised if it is a first. Here I gave up a 2nd, but honestly maybe Atl is offering incentive to move him for an expiring just to get the Murray trade over the finish line.

Prefer this scenario to mine. Simpler. Also, didn't know DLo has a PO.

Hobo interested in steak dinner.

Yeah I didn't realize Little had 4/28 left on his deal. That might be a negative contract considering he is a DNP for the Suns.

There is no deal for Miles Bridges out there that will make sense for us. We're better off trying to negotiate a contract in the summer. If we're getting equivalent talent in return or a valuable future asset then that's one thing... but we're talking about a 3 month rental on a guy who will go to the highest bidder in free agency.

The Jazz have a war chest of draft picks and they have the cap space to pay Miles this summer. If we want to move on from him and Ainge is willing to send us a decent draft asset back that's as good of an outcome as we could hope for.

That said I think it makes a lot more sense to sign Miles to a reasonable contract and then see where things go from there. The players we should be focused on moving for assets are Hayward and Lowry.

I think the best route is to re-sign him and move him down the line if we want. Of the teams that have reported interest now, the Pistons remain the most logical (lots of cap + Michigan) - something like Isaiah Stewart and a pick. Miles would undoubtedly approve the trade back home and DET has cap space. But? See first sentence.

We could use a trouble maker (on the court) like Beef Stew on this roster, but yeah best bet is to retain and resign Miles. He's a good player that is probably not looking as good as he could considering our coaching style and roster choices. The real debate should be how big of a contract is too big.

I think he makes sense as a deal sweetener for a title contender, but we'd have to believe that the return on the overall deal is better than the option of no deal + keeping Miles.

So Suns, Jazz and Pistons are all interested in Miles.

zero interest in russell unless it comes back with a 1st for taking on his salary. he's a worse fit than terry next to melo. i'd rather have the cap space,

little interest in trading richards right now, unless its part of a bigger trade

I get it but we just need guys that can play. Russell is a guy that can pass, shoot I think he has matured a good bit.

I am just so tired of watching guys that aren't real basketball players for 20 mins a night.

Murray will get more than a way out future first and a way out future first swap. So the premise is flawed in all of these deals.

I'm not giving up anything for DLo.

I'd rather use that space to take on a year of bad salary for picks. We are going to be bad next year anyway. I'd rather not have a mediocre veteran guy taking touches off Miller and NS Jr.

Hopefully we draft or sign a decent PG option this offseason that can share Terry's minutes with NS Jr.

If you guys recall we took on Ben Gordon's contract from the Pistons for their first. That turned into i think the 9th pick?

We have no idea what they look like under a real coach.

There are 6 NBA players in this team. 2 of them are hurt till god knows when. Spoelstra isn't getting .500 out of this team in its current state. But 29 other coaches plus many assistants and unemployed coaches are getting more out of it than Clifford.

Bud just got another first rounder with this performance!

In all seriousness though, PJ is not at the top of the list of players I want to dump. He hasnt been able to grow in a specific role this season thanks to injury unpredictability.

He's next man up (or one of them) we need to replace scoring lost from Rozier who dominated the ball throughout his tenure. I think Terry stunted his growth, and Miles' and Melo's, and Brandon's. Hornets have plenty of talent on one side of the ball, but need better coaching and a retool.

The vet leaders will be gone by the deadline.
