Lowkey tempted to blame Thibs for sure. Up 17 with 4 minutes left. Why was Randle playing?

Yeah, they might be forced to make some type of deal. Even if it’s just to get another ballhandler in.

I don’t think there’s a fracture as Woj said there “wasn’t much damage” (whatever that means) shown on the x-ray. A fracture would’ve been apparent there.

This doc is making assumptions based on no evidence. Not panicking till I hear the MRI results.

He didn’t have a full dislocation

It’s not good but not career threatening

I think he will need surgery but it’s not a very long recovery and won’t affect his game — I think late season possible

Yup...one of my players suffered a sublux, and she was back in 3 weeks. Probably shouldn't have been, but she had basically no ligament damage, and it was looked at medically within moments of occurring.

On the other end, a dislocation can have a lot of associated ligament issues that cause much longer outages and/or require surgery. Hope it's just a sublux.

Sucks for Julius. I was just coming around on him and appreciating what he brings. Get well soon!

As far as filling the void, I know obviously we need a PF that can take his minutes and do PF things, but it also means we may not be able to trade Grimes.
Grimes is one of our only players who has the outside shot and a bit of a bag when it comes to creating offense in different spots on the floor. Things that we rely on JR for.
I thing Grimes value compared to a Bruce Brown starts to look different now.

If we're not gonna trade his expiring contract, it might be time to unleash Evan Fournier. Jk

But if the Hornets do buy out Hayward, he would be a great pickup.

On the bright side, maybe the time off will get Randle fresh enough and rejuvenated for the playoffs. If we can get him back a month or so before the start of the postseason so he can get into the groove, that would be awesome.

It's not season ending is my guess.

My buddy was a tree planter/bit of a survivalist etc., with basic medical knowledge who easily popped a guy's shoulder back in on the ski slops before we all got to the bottom.

A clean shoulder dislocation can be strengthened back up fairly soon.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?

Should know soon. But will be a tear like 95% of these.

Just a matter of surgery or not but think that eventually will happen.

I was at a bar downtown watching the game with a couple friends when it happened. Sort of put a damper on the whole evening, lol. Hope he heals up quickly.

We weren't title contenders this season anyway IMO, but were playing outstanding basketball and could have made an ECF appearance. This lowers the odds of that happening, but let's see how we adjust and respond. This team is resilient and tough.

I wonder how soon we’ll see a deal done? They were def going to do something but this forces their hands a lot sooner. I bet they cave and pony up whatever asset they’ve holding back.

The last thing me i dislocated my shoulder the doctor told me to let it rest for like 2/3 weeks before i even started PT cuz the swelling needed to go down. So even the best case scenario, he’s like 6 weeks away from playing.

If they can make a trade to get some help in here, I wouldn’t be opposed to letting Randle sit out until about 2 weeks before the playoffs. That’d hopefully get him enough time to heal, and keep him fresh, but still allow him to ramp up to get on rhythm for the post-season.

Don’t quote me on this but I think it’s super tough to not tear your labrum when you dislocate your shoulder.
