I agree he has mediocre conditioning but if by some miracle he makes the Finals and faces Denver he is cooked....

Embiid is more scared of playing bad in Denver than playing Jokic. It is all about stats. He doesn’t want to look bad when he can’t handle the attitude

Philadelphia medical team is notorious for **** like this. They could have gotten ahead of it, instead they left him off the injury report and gave an update 25 minute before tip off. I agree that is lame as ****. I'm not blaming Embiid on this though. Also not sure why people are upset if he's not playing, if it's physical. You can only control what you can. His body is brittle. I'd rather enjoy the remaining years he has in the league then nitpick at him all the time.

You’ve had 5 straight years of excuses for him. Get outside perspective for once at what you’ve been doing for 5 years now when it comes to Embiid. It’s like you can’t see the pattern for 5 years straight. If it was 2 years, maybe 3 years I’d understand. But not 5 years in a row and excuses you’ve had for him in the playoffs too by blaming everyone else except him.

Please give MVP to Embiid, we need to increase his trade value!

Wonder with Embiid possibly not qualifying, will Giannis start getting some attention? He's been super efficient and they start winning with Dame getting into shape / having a decent coach I think he has a chance

That's fine but don't be back in here polluting this thread with a million links when he drops 40 on Portland.

If Embiid doesn’t get it it’s probably going to SGA or Jokic- but Giannis will definitely have something to say.

I think the narrative around getting two coaches fired might actutually impact this tho… imo

You already know how this gonna go. Embiid will play and go for 50. Giannis will show up and play in Denver as he usually does.

Yep. Hussein will post "wow! Embiid with 30 at the half!" six times and then we'll get four pages of tweets about how many points he scores per minute.

I wish they would just come out and say the issue. There are plenty of NFL players who don't play in Denver for a variety of reasons. The truth is always the best thing. This makes him look like a damn fool. JMO

They cannot do that, what he has is sickle cell trait, exposing this out officially would lower his trade value and affect his future contract.

It absolutely blows my mind. "Just wait till he's healthy!" We hear. Excuses for his poor playoff performances. Even Eyetoma himself crowned Jokic the best in the world and gave up on Embiid after the playoffs, or, one of their fanatics did. Yet, it's the same thing with this guy.

Embiid is an all time great talent, with an absolute losing competitive attitude. Hiding in the lockerrook? The MVP race is over. it's Jokic's to lose.

Embiid cares about what people think WAY too much.

My prediction.

Embiid plays a game completely unhealthy late in the season to get to the 65 game cap, and barely moves, stays on one side of the court, and plays 4v5, essentially forfeiting a game.

He and Eyetoma have monopolized this thread with Embiid spamming nonsense and derailed the discussion into Pro vs Anti Embiid discussion to the point that this isn't an MVP thread,it's an MVP thread

I mean, to be fair, it's fun to have them as the opposing side.
