Reminds me of a lesser Carmelo if I'm being honest.

Can't believe this guy was drafted after guys like Jett Howard and Kobe Bufkin. NBA teams are so dumb sometimes.

Loved cam as a prospect but Ant is a willing passer he's averaging like one assist every 25 fga .... MPJ a well known player with tunnel vision in his worst chucker season averaged 1 assist/13 fga
I expect him to improve his awareness and playmaking but he looks more like a 3rd option elite play finisher

after averaging 0.7 assists per game in college he's averaging 0.4 assists this year. he's played 359 minutes this year and has 9 assists, good for an AST% worse than any qualifying player. i feel like you have to go out of your way to do that.

He's good, I'm so pissed the Lakers picked Hood-Schifino over him, Jacquez, and that nice rookie on Golden State.

Pelinka dropped the ball. Three very good players went right after Hood-Schifino.

Long-term it may not be the wrong decision but JHS was clearly the most raw and least likely to help in first few seasons.

Just a poor decision at the time and still is

Pelinka is a F tier gm. Braindead move after braindead move. It’s honestly impressive how wrong he is.

Watch Cam play he is either dunking or shooting the three. There is no in between game. He lacks playmaking ability and shoot creation. This is a massive difference between ant and him.

This is a more apt comparison. Poor man's version of jaylen brown. Dude is talented but has an emotional maturity of a child. It's only a matter of time before the rockets moves on from this knucklehead.

Is he? He didn't measure but is speculated to have a 6'9 wingspan, Whitmore measured 5'5.75 barefoot (ant would probably be around 5'3-5'4 as he's speculated to be 6'5 in shoes) with a 6'8.5 inch wingspan.

Not saying he's the next ant or anything crazy but I do not that ant is much longer if longer at all.

Those are some high soled shoes.

If I remember many of the draft analysts were confused but speculated something came up in pre-draft examinations.

Modern Adrian Dantley if he tops out. As in, talented scorer, but when he gets the ball, the possession is over one way or the other.

My sense is, if he plays like a ballhog once Jabari/Eason get back, he will be glued to the bench, especially with Amen Thompson back. He is going to have to incorporate passing, if he wants to get consistent minutes. He hasn't had to due to injuries lately, but Udoka isn't afraid to bench guys.

To be fair, a lot of his minutes earlier this season were just garbage time in a blowout where he's by a huge mile the best scorer on the floor, so he got the leeway to be more of a chucker, and in a chaotic state the games were in, he wasn't facing much of a defence, so he was typically wide open when gets the ball, so driving to the rim or shooting on sight wasn't really a problem.

I don't know what his AST stats are in the last couple of weeks where he's been a bigger part of the rotation, but the eye test says he passes the ball more.

Whitemore in January: 3.8% AST with 9/15 games having 0 assists.

His seasonal average is 4.1% AST.

EDIT: He did have his only 2-assist game so far this season in January, though.
