These 9 games leading up to the all-star break will tell us quite a bit about how well the Knicks will handle being without Randle if he is out even longer than that. Obviously a trade could change this but I also don't anticipate Rose doing any panic moves.

The Knicks are only a few games out of being in the play-in tournament and they can't afford to struggle too much so it feels much more close than the few games separation they have with the 2nd seed in the east. Making the difference between 4-5 wins or 6-7 wins during this stretch huge.

Someone will need to step up. I think the only realistic way to compensate for Randle's absence is through a complete team effort---like OG, Grimes, DD, Deuce and Hart all getting an additional 4-5 points to their season averages. Brunson will likely go 30+ points per game. For 9 games on a light schedule we can do it. I'm hoping for 7 wins.
