Vogel has never been an offensive mastwrmind. He opts to let players play how they want offensively. Defensively is where he makes his money. At most places atleast, not when he was in Orlando

I’m rewatching the game right now since I missed it earlier. They need to launch a criminal investigation into the officials tonight after those two replay reviews. Just awful. I know we won this game but I’m still getting pissed at these incompetent jagoffs.

Paolo kinda had a very quiet good game, 26 points 7 assists 4 rebounds......man once he gets stronger and commits more to the glass he can really be a triple double threat every night

What an odd box-score, but here we go:

Box score thoughts:

Orlando lost the FG% battles (badly at that), and won the game (easily).

How is that possible? Well the Magic took 19 more FG attempts. Butt this wan;t from elite rebounding. And it also wasn't from dominating FT attempts (as a differential).

Orlando won this game because of one stat: TO differential.. Wild !!!!

Specifically, the Magic surrendered only 7 TO but forced 22 for a 15-TO differential. That in itself was the game. To run salt in the wound, Phoenix was HORRIBLE from their FT line AND with their 3-ball.

In conclusion, the Magic played matador defense in the interior to guard the three-ball. That defensive scheme paid off in spades.

Cig was bad for my health but good for the Magic. I need to take cig breaks more often I suppose.

There are Russian websites that copy the NBA feeds and have those. Sites such as fullmatchtv need huge caution though, as there is a lot of spam, viruses, click-bait, etc. to sort through before the feed actually loads. And a lot of that stuff is NSFW.

To use such illegal rewind streams, In brief: click on the game. Then when the dspam page appears, cancel it. Then click on the stream. Another fake web-site will appear that needs to be closed, and on and on. Eventually the game will play. To avoid in-game adds, put these on full screen; which blocks that.

Or do what I do: buy the NBA.com NBA League Pass. It is clunky, but it is legal. Plus: when you do it this way you get all the Starry in-game adds. "you don't have ears" and all that.

Nice win and the last quarter in particular was great fun. Games like this is like I am not ready to give up on Isaac, health and all. When he plays, he is a geniune difference maker. We are 17-11 when he plays and 7-11 when he doesn't. And he is killing it in the impact stats, he has a +13.1 net rating. Of course he didn't do it alone, everyone really hustled on D, but he is clearly the defensive anchor.

BTW, Suns are somehow by far the worst fourth quarter team in the league by net rating (-15.7) and by offensive rating (103.4) which is pretty embarassing for Vogel given their personnel.

We still need more scoring. Even with all that great defense we can’t rely on the opposing team to miss FTs like that.

Fultz 0-0FT / 0-0 3pt on an otherwise decent game for him.

The kid can ball no doubt. But has zero respect from anything beyond the FT line.

The defense isn't consistent either. I know its hard to be able to play full energy every single game, but we simply aren't going to win if we don't.

I hope Mosley doesn't shy away from using the long bois lineup more often. Since we can't shoot beat them with length/size?
